I will be 12 weeks pregnant on Friday and would like to know what beauty treatments I can have now. Can I have facials and pedicures? I haven't even dyed my roots the whole time and have loads of grey roots. I would also like to know if pregnancy massage is relaxing. I know you have to lie on your side and don't know if I would like that do an hour?

When I have had pregnancy massage you lay on each side for half an hour with pregnancy pillows supporting you. It has always been very comfortable. Facials and pedicures are fine. In the last trimester, you should avoid layimg on your back so you might want to avoid facials then but a pedicure will feel amazing on your poor swollen feet.

Facial is fine. Pregnancy massage is amazing!!! I've kept up trips to nail salon throughout pregnancy.

Some preg massage places will have special pillows so you can lie on your front
Other places may offer hydrotherm which is a bit like a water bed

I'd check with whichever spa your going to. Some have pregnancy trained therapists who may be able to do massages. The place I'm going to tomorrow doesn't so I've opted for a mani and pedi! I prefer a foot treatment so that suits me fine!

Hair dye is safe too thankfully My hairdresser said that today's dyes are far more friendly than they used to be and that the main issue is that your hair may react in a slightly different way during pregnancy (e.g, mine takes to the dye more quickly).

Thanks for all the advice. Really need some pampering after feeling so rough this trimester.

I found pregnancy massage really relaxing-go for it! I didn't dye my hair during my first pregnancy but having done more research this time I think it's ok and have dyed it twice
