I work for a small company which currently doesn't have a maternity pay policy, so I have no idea whether I'll get statutory or enhanced. There is absolutely no mention of maternity in any of our policies - we've only been up and running a year. I report to the CEO and we have one HR manager. I'm going to wait until my 12 week scan before telling work (have already told close family - I'm 8 weeks) but don't know who to speak to first - my boss, the CEO or the HR manager. Any advice please from people in similar situation? I'm very tempted to tell them sooner as I commute into London once or twice a week and sometimes carry heavy items. I'm not one to treat pregnancy as a disability but I am finding it difficult dealing with fatigue and nausea and don't want to continue to be relied upon to lug heavy items around London when I'm already knackered!
