I'm 17 +6 and the past few days I've had lots of fluttering and even when I press on my belly could feel baby but today I can't seem to feel anything and haven't felt any flutters at all!! What could this be? I'm so so worried Confused

It could be that the baby has moved position but you should ring your maternity unit for their advice,

I was reading about this today, I'm only 15w+4 but it came up on an app I was fiddling with.

Can you try eating/drinking something really cold (ice lolly, cold water) and laying down for a little bit? Often if we're walking about or doing daily chores our babies fall asleep. I also read laying on the left hand side, with your bump supported, and breathing regularly and calmly can help you find the baby - it could be your baby has moved positioning and is more comfortable there.

Ultimately you know your body best, and you know what you feel is right and wrong - if you've tried these things and still nothing, please call your midwife - be prepared that she/he may say "You're only 17w, some people don't feel until xxx weeks" but be direct and say you've felt baby for several days/weeks.

Fingers crossed it's just baby being a bit awkward or having a Sunday snooze Flowers

Posted to soon. Try not to worry at that stage in pregnancy my movements weren't very regular but it's always better to get checked out.

I had this with my second pregnancy at 16/17/18 weeks. Everything was fine. It's still quite early at this stage to be monitoring movements I was told.

Could you give your mw a call to possibly listen to the hb if it is worrying you? Just to put your mind at rest?

Thank you everyone! Thinking about giving my midwife a call tomorrow just to see what her opinion is but most likely baby's just burrowed deep in there and kicking inside instead of outside lol

At this stage it's unlikely to be anything to worry about, much more likely that baby has moved to an awkward position. But always phone the mw for reassurance if you're concerned.

I had exactly the same at 18 weeks, movement had been pretty regular then it suddenly seemed to stop. Everything I read said this was normal at this stage, but it was a worrying couple of days until it started again. No harm in calling your midwife for reassurance.

Baby probably moved. Plus as they get bigger they have less room so movement becomes less intense.

Try can of fizz. Gave mine hiccups. Or laying on side.

I've had some fizzy juice and lay on my side and started to feel tiny butterflies they're a lot fainter so think she's burrowed deep down into the womb making herself comfortable! Thank you everyone

The lower they go there is less room .

I think it's only after 26/28weeks that movements are regular/should be counted.
