Just wondering if anyone else is doing slimming world? I was doing it before I fell pregnant have told my leader I am pregnant and intend to continue. Has anyone else continued with it successfully and managed to maintain weight, lost weight or gained minimal weight?

I have been doing it on and off and only gained around a stone in the whole pregnancy (Had a few a very naughty weeks lol!). Now 37+6 weeks with a predicted baby weighing 8lb 2oz!
I have been maintaining in the last couple of weeks.
Good luck with it

Thank you. I put on a lot of weight with my DS and four years later I'm still not back to my pre baby weight, but im determined not to balloon again! I need to lose 3 stone really (obvs not while pregnant), but would hate to end up 9 months later needing to lose 5 stone having gained another 2!!!

I am! Lost all my baby weight from my first on alimming world and had been maintaining. For the first few months I felt rotten and ate whatever I wanted and saw the pace I was putting it back on so went back to alimming world at 20 weeks. I can't believe the difference and how much better I feel already. I'll be very happy if I have a stone to loose after the baby. I think it's deffo possible as I've nipped it in the bud. Good luck! I think it's easier to start now rather than with a newborn and the tiredness Ect that goes with it!

I am planning on carrying on with it. I'm 11 weeks now and currently 1lb down on my pre-pregnancy weight. I haven't been sticking to plan at all since week 4 though as I've been totally off lots of foods, not counting syns and been desperate for crisps and carbs, but I've maintained for 6 weeks without trying at all so I'm very happy with that.

My plan is to stay to group and try not to get into the "eating for two" mindset to make it more manageable afterwards!

The great thing I'm finding is on the "I'm starving and eating for 2" days I just way huge portions of speed and free foods. I feel satisfied and won't put on the lbs! It's the best! I agree don't do it till your over the sickness, there was no way I was putting myself through it in the beginning!

This is great news - I'm definitely staying with it. Are you having 2 HEXA HEXB choices? Just been reading the notes and it says to up these.

However, I've stuck to it all week and have put on 2lbs this week which has really freaked me out as I'm only just 6 weeks! Hoping it's water retention or because I'm a bit constipated...

Honestly the ways bloating I had
In the beginning was shocking!! It's deffo that. Yea up it to 2 of each. I struggle to be honest and have been having a peice of toast with banana and a glass of milk before bed to bump it up.

The worst thing I can do is go into that 'sod it' mentality and end up binging on chocolate, so definitely going to put it down to water!!

Having said that though I have been very up and down since starting and weight loss has been SLOW before falling despite manly doing speed days and sticking to it religiously. But again I put that down to hormones readjusting following a MMC at Christmas...

Or maybe I'm making lots of excuses for myself!?!?

Have a few weeks break till you feel 100% and get back on it. Sometimes you plateau and need the break. So long as you keep it under control it should work

I lost almost 4 stone on slimming world last year and found out I was pregnant on 4th January (18weeks now)

Personally I was so sickly I couldn't eat yoghurts/fruit/most meats as I had completely gone off it and the smell of everything made me sick. As a result I really struggled and kept beating myself up about it. Also I used to bloat in the earlier weeks which made my weight drastically fluctuate week by week for example 4 pound on one week and then lost the week after. I lost my mono to be honest so been healthy eating from home as I couldn't face weighing myself every week feeling emotional with things. Consultant was excellent and supportive but hard to handle after losing so much and then starting to gain/maintain was difficult for me. I think it's more of my problem though ano now I'm feeling better again I'm thinking of trying to rejoin and seeing how it goes. Good luck, I've heard lots of people manage slimming world while pregnant.

I am doing it. I spoke to my mw about my anxiety of putting 5stone on in this pg like I did in pg1 and that it took me two years of hard work emotionally and physically to lose it. She agreed to put it on my antenal care plan and my leader agreed to mark me a shift work because I can't always make it due to childcare. I am now 24 weeks and have put on about 1.5 stone. Which I am fine about. I am allowing 2.5 for total pg. I don't stick to sw religiously but it does help keep make better choices and keep in control (mostly).

Hi ladies. I'm also doing SW. Joined 4 weeks ago (currently 30 weeks pregnant) and have maintained my weight since joining. I'd put on 21lbs by 26 weeks BlushHoping to maintain for the final trimester. Fingers crossed.

Keep going! I think the main aim for us here is damage limitation rather than big losses! But imagine how bad it could be if we didn't start now! I out 5 stone on with my son aswell, 22 weeks with another son and already 1 and a half stones up so I'm hoping to limit it to around this. I actually think I've lost this week co you can see a difference clearly and my thighs and face has put a lot on so there is deffo room for a loss. I'll know Tuesday!

Me! Usually have a very high protein low carb diet. Wanted something a bit more balanced now I am growing a tiny human.

Bacon egg and tomato cob this morning with a yoghurt, lunch is usually jacket potato with chicken and salad followed by another yoghurt, grapes and a banana to snack on and a homemade spicy veg soup with some cheese as my HEXA and some chicken pieces. Love it. At my dating scan I was about 9 pounds over my usual weight, but this was december/christmas/carb-gorging-thanks-to-sickness weight. Since then I've put on another 10 pounds or so (now 22 weeks) so I am just trying to control the initial damage by maintaining. If I can have a 2st-2.5st overall gain I will be happy.

That sounds great! I just had home made hummus on toast with salad and some grapes. Going to make a big cottage pie for tea as DH has just informed me we have friends coming over. Bet they don't even notice it's "diet food"

33 weeks now and only put 1st on in the whole pregnancy so far! I put 3st on with DS1 and took me 4 years to lose it, had started creeping back on (about 10lb) when I found out I was pregnant! was too ill and off pretty much everything but carbs to even attempt it, started at 27 weeks.

the thing I am finding difficult is the snacking of a night, bloody easter eggs!! Blush but all my meals have been on plan and syn free which is better than nothing and I have been eating lots of fruit and veg so its better than not following it at all! My midwife was made up when I told her I was following the plan!

Got put into SW as a referral from my midwife as my bmi was raised. I've done SW before but struggled. So far I'm 18 weeks and have lost 5lb in the first month and then maintained ever since, so I know that it's all baby, rather than cake iyswim. So that means I lose weight better when I'm up the duff. Hmm. Anyway, congratulations and good luck!

I'm so happy to see so many of us on SW, it's really given me a boost! Smile

I've eaten two mini reeses cups and a bag of space invaders since my syn free breakfast - but that's 9 syns so still not reached my 15. Love SW!

That's great news everyone. Made a fantastic cottage pie thing for tea with loads of speed veg in and with it. The kids DH and DH's brother ate it all saying he good it was. No idea it was diet food.
I love SW

I love slimming world I did it last year before I got married and lost nearly a stone. I didn't join the classes (my mum did) but she then coached me and gave me the books, it was easy to follow and actually enjoyable.
I'm just approaching 14 weeks pregnant and have terrible sickness and the bloating and weight gain is just making me feel a bit rubbish so thinking of starting again.
It's good to see its working for people during pregnancy and it still seems to be quite easy to do (hopefully the sickness won't put me off too much!) Smile

Can I join you. I have been loosely following slimming world for snippets o found on the Internet. Mainly for damage limitation!

Is there anywhere I can find a list of free foods and speed foods?
