TheGoodEnoughWife Thu 07-Apr-16 11:53:15

It means you are pregnant. Congratulations!

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 11:57:14

Really? I just want 100% because apparently some times they can mean negative? Thank you for your reply smile

Sanch1 Thu 07-Apr-16 11:58:21

Definitely pregnant! That's not even that faint. Congratulations!

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:02:36

Thankyou so much for your helpgrin

seafoodeatit Thu 07-Apr-16 12:02:48

As long as it appeared within the timeframe then it's positive and you're pregnant! Congratulations!

The false positives tend to be lines which only the person taking the test can see i.e nothing there or only appeared after 10 minutes.

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:03:31

I got it with in like a minute and a half smile

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:10:47

Can you get a result that fast it has been two weeks today?

seafoodeatit Thu 07-Apr-16 12:17:23

Results can start to show in a matter of seconds! A minute and a half is probably around the average amount of time it takes, it would have shown up faster if you'd been a bit further along.

Also I would suggest not re-testing - people get themselves in a state worrying over lines but a line is a line and different tests have different amounts of dye.

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:19:03

I have just taken another one and it's shown up negativesad I'm so stuck

TheGoodEnoughWife Thu 07-Apr-16 12:19:26

Same type?

TheGoodEnoughWife Thu 07-Apr-16 12:20:01

Weaker wee? First morning wee stronger - that may be why?

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:21:08

The first one was a one step test and I did that with my first wee of the day and I've just done a first response and its come back negative?

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:25:38

So now I'm very confused hmm

TheGoodEnoughWife Thu 07-Apr-16 12:29:25

Not even a faint line?

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:30:19

Nope not anything?

Artioo2 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:39:24

If you got a positive on two tests reading them within the time frame, the overwhelming liklihood is you're pregnant. A false positive is extremely unlikely if you follow the instructions. Testing again later the same day is not a good idea, because the concentration of the pregnancy hormone in your wee will be weaker as the day goes on, giving a false negative.

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:41:28

Thanks I only got a positive on one test and it was faint that my only worry.

Artioo2 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:44:49

It's still a positive - a line is a line, it doesn't matter how light it is. I could only see my first positive by squinting sideways at it and taking it unawares, and I'm 29 weeks now. smile

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:47:59

Wow glad there is something like this for people to ask for advice ect I'd be going crazy right now if not smile

angel123456 Thu 07-Apr-16 12:48:26

Hope everything goes well in the rest of your pregnancy also smile

If I were you, I'd do another test tomorrow. I've had tests that look like the photos you posted but they were actually dye runs rather than positive lines. The second line tends to be an equal distance from the left hand side of the test window as the control line is from the right hand side of the window, if that makes sense! Of course, this may well not be the case with your test but I'd try again tomorrow and see what happens. Good luck flowers
