Has anyone had sciatica in early pregnancy?

I am 12 weeks and the pain in my arse is becoming unbearable

What can be done?

How bad can it get?

Yep, me too.
Pregnancy yoga helps,
Putting a tennis ball where pain is and sitting on it (yoga teacher showed me this)
Pain killers sad
Yoga ball
Not standing for long periods

I had some around 20 weeks I think. Early enough that I remember thinking "oh shit, months of this will be impossible to cope with". But in the end it was a short phase, probably just as the bump was emerging and things were shifting around.

Things that helped: pregnancy yoga for gentle stretching, never carrying a bag on one shoulder (the lopsided weight set it off every time) and trying to sit with good posture, i.e. symmetrically, not twisted.

This has been building up for a few weeks now

Last night I could barely get up my stairs

Going to self refer for physio I think

I did. I got so bad i couldnt walk up the stairs, had to crawl! Once I'd seen a physio and done the exercises I was a million times better within a week.

A chiropractor had me walking easily again within a day.
