My symptoms came and went. I cried before my 12 week scan with the same fears as you (it's very common fear).
Currently feeding my 3.5 week old so loss os symptoms isn't a bad thing. Enjoy it whilst it lasts.

Good luck with your scan Flowers

Good luck for today - I'm 36weeks now and still get nervous before every midwife appointment! Was very jittery before both scans - totally normal! I'm sure it'll go fine

Hope all goes well today. I also found that my symptoms (mainly nausea and sore boobs) seemed to disappear at around 9 weeks so I also worried it might indicate a problem. My 12 week scan showed everything was fine though and I'm now 39 weeks.

It's natural to be nervous but try to remember that for the vast majority of people the scan shows everything is fine. Only a couple of hours left for you to wait!

Good luck for your scan - but wondering if you're still going to your NHS scan? I moved house recently and my new hospital couldn't take any of my previous scans (NHS and private) into account for my notes. So I had to have scans and bloods again.

Oh really ? that's annoying for you isn't it?
I will still go to the nhs one but they can't do an appt for me atm which I can do so after today's scan I shall ring them back up and explain I had a private one done today and see what they say with regards to my scan with them.
how annoying for you though xx

Hope scan went okay for you op. If it helps I've had 9 scans so far in my pregnancy and I get soooo nervous before each one, even when I can feel them both wiggling away, I always worry for the 2 seconds before they flick the monitor on.

Good luck X

ThanksThanks when I found out I was 10 1/2 weeks pregnant so they just told me to wait for the 12 week scan. I had blood tests and they were all fine. I guess at the moment it wasn't meant to be and hopefully the next time I'll get pregnant it'll be okay just so horrible to think it was inside of me for so long and I didn't even know :( :(

Oh no did you :( but congrats on you though very happy for you!! :) the worry is awful isn't it but I just knew deep down something wasn't right if that make sense??
so Friday I've got to go to the hospital and have more tests to confirm it as I had a private scan today they have to send me to the hospital to 100% be correct. I then have to choose how to deal with the miscarriage I am a wimp with surgery so I would probably take that tablet but I have heard you can have local surgery which you don't need to be put to sleep for which I would be happy to have its just I'm so scared of being put to sleep so of the offer me the local surgery I shall take that but if not probably the tablet as I would want it to start rather than wait for nature to take irs course just so I no when it's coming if that make sense. has anyone else experienced missed miss carriage (mmc) and have any experience and help that can help me Friday and what to expect after please xxx

Hi Alice, I'm really am so sorry for you. I'm posting this as you have asked what to expect. Last year I discovered at an 11 week scan that mine had died at 9 weeks. I elected to take the tablet. I didn't want to wait for it to happen naturally as I felt I wanted control over what was happening to my body. Also, as we are having to conceive by IVF the clinic recommended the tablet over surgery to make sure that surgery doesn't effect anything for future IVF attempts ( not exactly sure what but I suppose they meant piercing something etc!)
On the day I went in to hospital my husband came with me. The tablet is actually a pessary inserted into the vagina. The nurse insisted that she had to insert it which was a bit weird but I suppose they need to make sure it's put in the right place. It took about 3 hours from what I recall. Gradually began having cramps. For the first 90 minutes it was no problem, I was reading magazines wondering what all the fuss was about! For the final 30 minutes the cramps were very painful but not unmanageable, and also not constant. I've since been told the pessary brings on the equivalent to contractions which makes you pass the fetus. I had to pass it over the toilet into a cardboard tray. Sorry if TMI but because so much pushing I needed to poo and was also bleeding, obviously it all goes into these cardboard trays , I remember feeling embarrassed but the nurses were lovely and told me it was normal and suppose to happen like that.
When it passed the pain stopped pretty much straight away. I spent a couple of days on the sofa just a bit sore and emotionally drained. I think I made the right decision for me taking the tablet though.
I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. If you want to talk about it I'm happy for you to PM me xxxxx
