I'm looking for some 36" leg maternity trousers that don't cost ridiculous amounts - just something that will do for work. The company I used last time is out of business Sad. Anyone seen anything good? That and tall maternity tights.

No advice but I really feel for you.

I'm teeny at 5'3. My normal jeans are all a bit long but even I find maternity jeans short. What's that all about? That and 3/4 length sleeves.

Long tall sally do 36" maternity trousers, and not too expensive if you can get them when they have a sale on.
Mummy long legz also do 36" maternity trousers

Tall maternity clothes didn't exist when I was pregnant 😡 I wore pyjamas mostly lol.

www.tallgirls.co.uk/search.aspx I like this site generally, they have a few pairs of maternity trousers.

Tattie, you mentioned Tall tights. Do these exist? (Non maternity I mean) I'm looking for tall thick tights but apparently tall ladies don't wear tights 😡

Tattie I got maternity tights from new look they aren't tall but they fit very comfortably (I'm about 35" leg)

Also after numerous buys from lots of different places I finally found a pair of black tall jeans that actually fit me from ASOS:

Super long, comfy and look smart too.

Great ideas, thanks.

I usually get M&S tights and find they are long enough. Mytights.com also do a good variety of sizes including very long ones. I don't miss the days of having my tights sliding down, with the gusset stretching across just above my knees..

Any suggestions on where to get shoes? My feet have inflated to size 11 (adult size) and my old shoes have died on me. I don't want to pay the usual £100 for a pair of shoes that I hopefully wont wear for too long and its too cold for sandals. Sad

I found Topshop really good for trousers. Cheap enough for the fact they would only get a few months' wear! Some shops carried the maternity range but it was better online.

Long tall sally shoe sizes go up to size 12 and have improved ALOT in the last year or so.

Unfortunately LTS hasn't improved enough. All the flat shoes seem to be F-ing Ballerina shoes (which look stupid on me and will instantly fall off my feet) or really expensive.

(You may be able to tell that I'm fed up with most specialist large shoe shops as they are obsessed with Ballerina shoes - I'm not 12, really expensive and/or have really high heels - I don't need to be made any taller as all my work colleges are short and I like not having to duck when I go though doorways.)

Kipo I hear your pain re the shoes. I am not ultra tall but have stupidly long legs and even more stupidly big feet. Pretty sure there is ostrich on my blood. Shoe shopping is a nightmare, and trousers even worse. They assume a long body as well as long legs, which I don't have. My maternity trousers nestled rather nicely under my armpits!

Hi All,

I'm doing some research into the lack of maternity clothing for taller women. I'm 6ft 1 and although in the last few years there has been an increase in tall ranges on the high street, I still think there is a real lack of tall maternity clothing.

I have put together a small survey and I would love to hear your opinions and experiences on the matter. Its only 10 questions so will be super quick.

If anyone has any comments or opinions on this subject it would be great to hear from you.

Thanks

ASOS sell tall maternity jeans in that helps? They're going to be my go-to as although I'm only 5ft 8 I find regular jeans are like ankle croppers on me! Xx

I'm in 36" maternity jeans and leggings, and ASOS is the only place I've found that fit me properly and are true to my normal size. And believe me I've tried many many places!

Thank god ASOS realise that pregnant people don't stop being tall/short!

I bought some ASOS tall maternity jeans yesterday and they are the most comfortable things alive!! However just as a heads up the description is the wrong way round for the "normal" /tall ones as I discovered to my cost! I'm 5 ft 8 and usually a tall in topshop/new look so when it said on the description model is 5ft8 I thought "bingo!" and ordered them and they are far, far too long for me! Conversely the description on the regular length says the model is 5ft11 (despite being the same model for the tall ones?!) so I suspect they've mixed/made up the measurements! I've ordered regular size to be delivered today and can't wait!
