I will be a dad in may. I am in process of decorating the nursery for my little boy.
Any ideas of the colours ? I am thinking of white furniture , grey walls and some powder blue accessories.

It is our 1st baby and I want the furniture to be white as we may use them for second child as well.

That sounds lovely and very stylish! My DH is right now decorating the nursery for our little boy - we already have dark furniture so are going for cream walls with splashes of colour here are there.

Grey walls will be perfect with white furniture - my only advice would be to find a grey with a warm rather than cool tone - it can make a big difference to the overall feel.

Good luck and enjoy!

Grey is lovely for a nursery, as long as not too dark. Yellow goes very nicely with grey too if you want another accent colour to go with blue.

I was thinking of something like on the photo as well.
But decided it would be a little bit to dark and to serious for newly born.

Also if you plan second child and you will have little princes then hard to covert such room to be more girly...

We have white furniture and went for a lovely green. Easliy styled blue or pint with accessories. Even managed to find some cot sheets that matched.

Also, have a look on Pinterest for ideas if you haven't already... I think pale grey also lovely for a girl's room, goes nicely with pink. Those were our wedding colours! I would love to have grey walls for our second nursery but DH has vetoed painting so we're sticking with white walls and colourful stickers and accessories.

I like it. Plus if second is girl you can throw dusky pink in and it will look beautiful

It is well worth having a look on Pinterest as mentioned above. Also, have you thought about choosing VOC free paint from somewhere like Auro paints or The Nursery Paint Company?

Congratulations! Your ideas sound fab. I'm due a baby in July (husband and I hopefully finding out sex tonight). Im thinking of white furniture, and then grey and either pink or blue too. Love pinterest for inspiration. My second choice of colours for a girl are pale green and pink - think they look lovely together. Oh another good idea for a boy is blue and white nautical/beach theme. Have fun!

My boy has light blue room, white furniture and some grey accents, with star theme. We have this rug (it's machine washable, so very practical)

And some bits and bobs from here, the blue and grey coloured ones

I bought this set :

funique.co.uk/childrens-furniture/nursery-furniture-sets/lily-nursery-furniture-set.html

I am thinking of cotton lights (grey and Blue). Just not sure if that is not too much.

All the stuff should be ready within 2-3 weeks.

KatharinaRosalie - thanks for the links - the star accessories are awesome and i may get some for my little boy.
