Pregnancy

The reactions?

So on Friday after taking my third and final positive pregnancy test, myself and my other half{the baby's father} told our families, surprisingly my parents took it really well... I was so nervous to the point of sweating and the reaction I was expecting didnt come?! Haha, crazy. But I'm really glad.

My other half's family were actually more surprised than mine? but they are also accepting. And then they all began all debating on how far along I am.

My mum thinks I'm roughly 3 months because at the beginning of the year I had told her I needed new bras as my breasts had gotten bigger. My auntie thinks I'm 6 weeks. My other half and his dad think I'm about a month. I'm not even sure but I feel so relieved that the 'worse case scenario' of telling them, didnt happen. Now, it's just waiting until the 7th to see the doctor. :-)

Who did you tell and how did they react?

Why were you expecting them to be upset/ disappointed?

My mum was thrilled, as were DHs parents. My dad was happy for us, but he's usually very understated so wasn't expecting a big reaction.

Only told my mum before 12 week scan. I think there are probably "friends" of mine that still don't know I'm pregnant and I'm over 38 weeks.

Everyone who I have told have all been really excited. Most were very surprised as no one knew we were TTC at the time.

You can work out roughly how far along you are by your last period. If your wanting the downs screening then it's best to find out roughly how far along you are as they can only do the test to a certain point in pregnancy (and someone thinks you could already be 3 months)

Yeah, the problem is I haven't had a period since around Halloween last year, I suffered with irregular periods so it's not like I can even predict when I wouldve been due on these past four months @sepa.

Ah, that's annoying that they can't fit you in to see you sooner. Hopefully your scan won't be too far away.

Although in one way it would be better if you are further along then it's not so long to wait Grin
