faint line on pregnancy test... ami pregnant?

I am on holiday and have been feeling tired and nauseous. I decided to take a pregnancy test as my husband and I have recently started trying for a baby. I have PCOS so did not think I was likely to have conceived, so have spent the last week drinking and enjoying myself! However, I am now a few days late for my period... Although my cycles are irregular so this isn't a strong indication of anything due to the PCOS. Anyway I took an early indicator test and it appears to have a very faint pink line which appeared a few minutes after I peed on the paper this afternoon. The instructions are not in English though so I'm wondering if I should have dipped it in a cup after reading about these things online. Would this give a false reading? Also does a very faint line count or am I unlikely to be pregnant. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Yep, you're pregnant! Congratulations :). Or, as you appear to be in Germany, herzlichen Glückwunsch! :)

Thanks! Pretty overwhelming and scary, but also exciting. I do regret the jaegar bombs at apres ski now though! Assuming that this test is correct... What are the next steps? This is my first experience of this!

Defo up the duff!! Grin

I thought you were from the first post, but didn't WA t to raise your hopes without a photo!! Congrats.

Buy some folic acid and start taking it, stop smoking (if you do) and drinking, and generally look after yourself. Make an appointment with your GP when you get home to be referred to a midwife. And congratulations!!!

Don't worry about the jägerbombs, they won't have done any harm at this early stage.

Don't really know how it works in the UK re midwives etc but I second the above advice to stop drinking/smoking and step away from the soft cheese (I absent minded lay bought a delicious looking Brie sandwich for a train journey the other day and was devastated when I couldn't eat it!).

Good luck!
