Need some help - upset stomach & blood?

Hi, this is my first post and I don't really know how to begin or anything really. I'm usually a lurker in the background & enjoy reading some threads. So here goes;

I'm 27 weeks pregnant, first pregnancy & I've had an upset stomach for the last 24hrs - almost exactly 24hrs, really bad diarrhea, (I'm sorry tmi I know!) and it's quite painful, I've been drinking fluids regularly and as from a few minutes ago it's the same as it was really 24hrs ago, however, when I was wiping this last time there was tiny spots of blood, literally pin prick spots of blood & about 3 or 4 of them on the tissue, I carried on wiping & even used a new tissue & there is no more, I've held the tissue on there & no more either. I've wiped my front so to speak & there doesn't seem to be any my front end but I'm a bit worried, as would this harm my baby? And should I ring up & speak to someone at my maternity unit just to make sure?

I should know this, I'm a student nurse & you think I'd know the answer but im pretty much scared all the time of anything & everything happening, I just want a healthy baby born at full term & I do worry about everything. This is the first time I've had an upset stomach throughout my pregnancy and indeed for a number of years & this is the first time I've wiped from having a bowel movement & there's wee spots of blood.

I'm just looking for reassurance or what would someone else do in this situation? I've never asked anything on a forum before, so this is all new but I felt I just had to ask, as I'm just hoping it won't affect our baby.

Sorry if this post all seems a bit higglety piggledy I just needed to ask to see what other people would say, I'm trying to just think I've had an upset stomach all day & that's why but I know I'm not 100%.

Any help would be greatly appreciative & just to know people's opinions on what they think/would do would be really grateful.

Thank you. :)

Hi Melliemulalala, I would ring the midwife triage number before you go to bed and ask for advice, I've rung a few times while I've been pregnant and they've never made me feel silly for asking.

Hope you feel better soon.
