Protein in urine

Hi mums I'm 37+1 today and over the last 3 weeks I've had protein in my urine. First was trace, then +1, +2. I have to go in twice a week to be checked and even though my blood pressures always ok, I have had really bad headaches for the past week, which the midwife knows about. Went today and it's the 4th or 5th time there has been protein, and people are saying they should be inducing me! Any advice or past experience will be helpful please Smile

Can you go to triage to be assessed? Ask to see a doctor if they do not fully asses you for pre-eclampsia. If you have repeated incidences of protein and headaches they should be taking it seriously.

I was in triage last night for 5 hours. Got blood test results yesterday and was told to come straight in and bring all my stuff as I would most likely be induced. Was told by 5 midwifes I would be induced because these results were not good, just had to wait for doc to come and confirm times etc. five hours later after asking me a few questions was told I was being sent home. I've had bad headaches and stars in my vision for weeks, also constant protein. Was told I have the start of pre eclampsia but because my blood pressure is still normal it's not bad enough yet to induce.

Unlikely to induce on protein alone. They should hopefully be sending your urine tests off for further analysis to assess how much actual protein is there. Maybe be a kidney problem

Well some test not sure on actual terms, but was told the normal level was 20 and mine was 35

Some people do just produce protein during pregnancy due to leaky vessels but should always be looked into if recurrent. Can be an indicator of renal problems but more often than not its nothing
