No Niggles!

Hi All, I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and don't believe I've actually had anything in the way of Braxton hicks? No tightening's, no pains that didn't turn out to be wind or just round ligament pain! I'm just wondering if anyone else was the same and whether labour just "sprung on them"
Any advice or experiences greatly received! :) TIA

Hi, I was the same 6 years ago. No tightenings, B-H, the baby wasn't even engaged on my last midwife appointment. I convinced myself that the baby was going to be late. Then one night a day before my due date I woke up with a dull pain, waited a bit for it to pass and when it didn't I knew that this is it. Took some paracetamol and a nice bath, the contractions began, coped with it at home with the Tens machine for a couple of hours. By the time we went in the hospital I was at 10cm and could start pushing. Our DD was born in 20 minutes. I wish you and everyone a similar experience.

I don't think I've had any B-H either. I guess I'd know one if I felt one? I've had no niggles but as I am 38 weeks on Sunday and going in for induction on Monday I guess it won't be long!

Wow! So they don't happen to everyone then ! I was hoping to have felt something by now- most impatient and want to meet our baby! Good luck with the induction paperblank!!

Hazelnut thank you - getting close now, I've been desperate to feel a twinge Grin

All I get is an acrobatic baby doing the macarena!

I know right !!! My baby has been soo active the last two evenings in particular (I know that's great, rather active than not!) but some of the movements really take your breath away...I'd hoped that would mean something but then I'm looking out for any signs whatsoever. 39 weeks today, one week til DDay!! Lol x
Don't forget to let us know how it goes !! Smile
