I am currently suffering excruating pains whilst dealing with regret. Have any of you went through this and know ways to reduce pain

Hello sorry to hear you're in such pain. I don't think excruciating pains are normal to be honest. It should really only be like bad period pains. Are you able to phone the hospital or clinic that performed the procedure and ask for a check up? I think it's normal to feel regret straight afterwards but focus on your reasons for your decision.

Also sorry should have said paracetamol, hot water bottle, chocolate and a good cuddle from someone close are all good painkillers xx

How long since it happened? What type of abortion did you have (surgical or medical)? I had a medical abortion and was in absolute agony for a couple of days, also dealing with regret. You are not alone.

Have you had the pessary? I haven't had an abortion, but have had the pessary due to a missed miscarriage (I believe it's the same thing they give you for both)?

Anyway, if the same thing (like I think it is) the pain was the same as early labour pains. So very painful, yes. I'd call the clinic and speak to them just to be on the safe side.

Sorry I'm only thinking of surgical, maybe there's a lot more pain with medical.
