Hi
I have had some bleeding followed by a tiny clot. Some of the bleeding looked mucasy. I lost my mucus plug in my last pregnancy very early but was never red. I phoned midwife who has told me to wait until the morning and see if I'm still bleeding as its not much and I have no pain.

I have zero pain. I felt baby move about an hour ago, I'm trying to get her to move again but only feel it once or twice a day. Is it at all possible this is just nothing and normal? I'm so worried!!!

Ah clot pictures, I have a couple of my own. This does look very small so midwife's recommendation seems sound as it could well be nothing and baby movements are reassuring. I've had 1x hospital visit for unexplained bleeding (say at least 10x this amount) and been in contact with midwives over further large clot (approx tsp size with bright red tissue) where they were happy for me to put on a sanitary pad and monitor at home. 37wks now and no more bleeds for weeks, baby happily thumping me from inside as I type. So hopefully nothing but dont hesitate to call midwives if something changes.

How far along are you op?

I was always told that any bright red fresh blood required checking out at hospital during pregnancy.

Have you had regular scans ?

I had two similar bleeds at 19 weeks. Was incredibly frightening so I feel for you. I got scanned by the hospital and they checked my cervix was closed and all was fine.

Couldn't find any reason for the bleeds which happened 24 hours apart. I'm now 36 weeks and had nothing since. Hope you get some reassurance today

No bleeding at all now. Just old blood when I wipe. Don't know if to go in. I have my son who's one and no one can have him if I go in and don't fancy sitting in there for hours with a one year old to be told it's nothing. Also have felt her move today

Go in, any bleeding always get checked. I bled all the way through my pregnancy and I was always told to go to get checked. Good luck

Please go in. Chances are it is perfectly fine and nothing to worry about, but you won't stop worrying until you've been seen and they would much rather see you 'just in case' than have you leave it and it potentially be something, or stress yourself out.

In terms of practicalities, take some snacks and drinks for your DS, along with a small bag with some toys/books/things he will enjoy doing to keep him distracted.

Go in and get it checked. I've had bleeding throughout this pregnancy. The last one was at 23 and a half weeks and was bright red gushing into the toilet pan. I was in hospital for almost a week and given steroids to mature baby's lungs as they said there was a really high chance he'd be early. I'm now 36 +5 and going in to be induced tomorrow. It's really scary when it happens, your far better having your mind put at ease.

Hope all goes well
