Extreme baby movements at 32weeks

Baby number four, but my god this baby is somethings else. The moments are so crazy. Swirling, my tummy raised right up, I can feel shivers, shakes, limbs, hiccups, head grinding, the feeling of water swirling in my pelvis as baby is head down.

Is this normal for a fourth pregnancy?

My muscles are completely split so maybe why?

It's active all the time but at night, my god. It's put me off going to bed.

Baby number two, so not many words of wisdom. Just wanted to sympathise. When he goes for it, it's brutal!

It was my first for me so I thought it was normal and people were crazy when they said they liked baby movements. My second was more normal and lovely.

For me he stayed active and very strong after birth. I remember he thrashed around so much on the hospital bed that he rolled at 6 hrs old. He was also quite high needs as a baby but luckily settled a bit as a toddler.

Baby number one was like that! I actually ended up pushing a foot back into place as he'd stretched out so far the pain was unbearable...the twins I had subsequently and his baby sister were nothing compared to that!! Some babies are just super mobile in the womb

This is my first pregnancy (currently 39+2) but I have been so shocked by how strong and overwhelming his movements are. It's not the gentle kicks and prods that I expected - it's been just as you describe. Sometimes the movements take my breath away and I just have to stop whatever I am doing and wait for him to finish.

I'm 29 weeks with no.4 and it's exactly the same, the movements this time are extraordinary, take my breath away and feel like he's going to burst right out! Seems constant too, I'm bracing myself for a non sleeper.

I remember that with DS2 and the movements made feel sick - I felt so guilty because I wasn't enjoying his kicks as much as DS1 who seemed to kick far less.
Different story when they were out though, DS1 was far more active, DS2 just stayed curled up on my chest for 2 months!

Remember they say go get checked for a change in baby's movements. Not just them slowing, anything out of the ordinary needs checking.

Also with my last pregnancy (technically 4th, but 2 miscarriages) I could feel things much more clearly, it turned out I had low waters, so I didn't have as much cushioning from the movements. Please get checked, it's a pain and takes time out of your day, but worth it for you and baby.

I had this, I only have one baby but my god, I have scars from where he used to put his feet. It was excruciating.

I'm 36 weeks with my second and this one is a maniac.

I can remember patting DS1 bum contentedly when he was in the womb - this one I've had to physically hold my bump at times for fear he was going to burst out alien style.

There are few videos on the Kicks Count Facebook page of scary baby movements...!
