Guess my babies sex. Clear 12 week scan

I had my scan last week at 12 weeks and I've looked into old wives tales. I know it's nothing to swear by but it's fun looking and guessing. I seem to be 50/50 for the tales and plan on finding out the sex at 20 weeks but I'm interested in finding out what everybody thinks :)

Cassimin, What makes you think boy? Everyone said girl up until this week but now I have a little bump, they are starting to say boy so I'm interested in people's theories

On my scan picture of twins the boy had a strong white dot at top of legs.
Maybe a coincidence but your scan does too.
Congratulations by the way Smile

You can't tell at twelve weeks sorry!

And I see you said guess, so I'm going boy:)

Thank You. I was so shocked at how clear the picture was

slebmum I don't mind what the sex is. It's just fun testing out people's theories as to what they think. I'm not too fussed if we can't find out at the next scan. As long as baby is healthy, that's all that matters Smile

I didn't really notice the dot. Do you think it's the start of a boy forming? I know 12 weeks is way too early and like I said, I don't mind either way and even if I did find out at my next scan, I am not going crazy with pink/blue as I quite like the neutral baby clothes what are out right now and also, they could still be wrong

Awe lovely baby! Have you heard of the 'nub' theory? Have a Google, can't quite remember the details but it's something to do with the nub and which way it's pointing apparently you can tell gender? I could never find the nub on my scan pics!! I feel like saying its a boy too.

Etak15, I have looked into it, but then I don't know what I'm looking for with the nub. Can you see a nub on my picture do you think? I read if the nub is in line with the spine then it's a girl and if it's sticking out a little bit then it's boy. I've also had clearer skin and apparantly that's means boy

cant see the nub in that scan so it's irrelevant

I think boy Smile

Looks similar to my DS's scan and the skull looks more square which seems to often mean boy!

We've just had our 12 week scan this time around and I've looked at a couple of the theory's about the sex too!

You can't see the nub. My Sonographer told me I was having a boy at 12weeks and this has since been confirmed 3 times, so there must be something in nub theory after all. Though mine was very obvious at 12 weeks lol.

cassimin Thank You. Taken a while to get here but it's been worth it

Needcaffeinenow Yeah boys are obviously normally easier to guess earlier on apparantly.

Crumbles12 What are you thinking for your baby this time round?

I'm not sure with this one! I can't work out if I can see a 'nub' on any of the scan pictures but from the skull it is definitely more curved and a more sloped forehead than with DS but could go either way! Wink

When do you find out crumbles?
I am unsure if I actually want to find out, because like I said, it's not important. But other half wants to know and I can't stand him knowing something I don't and he then won't tell me after, him being a pain haha. So any slightest 'I want to know' at my scan and I'm gonna have to give in and find out on the day

Not until April, I was sure we wouldn't find out with this one but I don't think I will be able to wait and on a practical level I'd love to know beforehand if we can reuse DS's baby bits or will need new ones!
Keeping it a surprise would be lovely, I definitely couldn't not know if DP knew though it would drive me mad Wink
