Pregnancy

Had loads of symptoms but negative result?!

I came on my period about a week ago, but I've been feeling nauseous, dizzy, fatigued and over-emotional since about a week before that. I just thought I was having bad pmt, though the thought I could be pregnant did cross my mind as me and the partner have said we'd like babies, just not yet, and we do use condoms but we're not the most careful... Anyway, I was only on for two days and it was very very light (I'm usually on for around 5 days) then I had brown spotting the next day, then I've had very very light spotting off and on since then. I've also had a bad stomach ache off and on since being on, and diarrhoea (sorry for TMI!) so I definitely thought it was a bug, then read up on here that some women get that instead of or as well as morning sickness?! I've just taken a test and it was negative. Could I still be pregnant and it's just too early? Or am I just secretly wanting to be pregnant and blaming every weird symptom I have on that?
Help!

I think with a period and a negative test it's unlikely that your pregnant I'm afraid.
When I was TTC I was sure every small thing was an indication that I was pregnant.

Wasn't a normal period though... And I've just not felt like myself, argh, I'm reading loads of things online and driving myself crazy! I've always had reassurance from a negative test before but this just feels different and I'm not convinced! I'm trying to tell myself I'm not pregnant but I'll go to the doctors next week if I still feel like this, there's definitely something wrong Confused

Your body can do it though. I had periods that were early, late, longer & shorter than normal.
I would say see what your period is like next month as it's unlikely with a negative test and a period that your pregnant.

Was your period on time?
Implantation bleeding is usually earlier than your period would be.
The best test to do is a First Response one as they are super duper sensitive. Get one if you have the chance and do it first thing tomorrow when your wee is most concentrated and the HCG hormone is strongest.
But if your period was on time last week it's unlikely you are pregnant as a positive test would have showed up by now.
Good luck though!

My cycle is usually quite long - anything from 28 to 33 days, and I think I started bleeding about day 27 (will have to double check my diary though), is that early?!
I won't get a chance to buy a test until tomorrow so I'll do it first thing Saturday. Thanks for your advice!

I think it's highly unlikely if you started bleeding on day 27, bled for 2 days and then tested even latr than that. It sounds like you are excited secretly at the thought but you say you and partner had decided not yet. I think you need to chat again and see if he is ready because I think you want it. I don't think you are pregnant this time but despite your likely disappointment it's a blessing in that you can properly decide to, which makes for a lot more enjoyable pregnancy on the whole.
