Second baby here has been in a Chicco next 2 me crib with a sleepyhead for 6 months, and it's been great.

My second fell asleep in a carrycot thing from the double pushchair, which I could carry him from room to room in. Then after late evening feed popped him in bed and he co-slept with me in the guest room for about 3 months, after which went into cot in our room (no problem with transition). Dc1 went straight into cot, which was fine with one but too tired to get in and out of bed with two.

I'm going with the chicco next 2 me and sleepy head. Tried a bedside cot and moses basket before but dc1 hated it!

We've got a Chicco next to me for DD as DS hated the Moses basket.

Predictably DD will sleep in the Moses basket but won't in the Chicco grr.

I've just ordered a softer mattress for the Chicco as the original seems hard.

I've bought a spacesaver cot for mine, we're in a two bed and I want to avoid putting the baby in with ds for as long as possible. I quite liked the Moses basket, but the transition to his cot went badly and triggered months of terrible sleep, so I'm aiming for consistency this time! I've also bought a sleepyhead to go in it, which the baby can also sleep in in the day and if we go away. Think I'm all set!

I had a snuzpod for DS. A cocoona baby in that for the first 10 weeks (which you also could carry him around in from room to room when napping in the day). Snuzpod was great for breastfeeding in the night and settling him without having to get out of bed. He out grew that at 5 months and went into his cot in his own room with no problems. He now sleeps through so hopefully if we are lucky enough to have another - will do the same again.

I tried everything with my first (nothing worked and ended up co-sleeping) - got a snuzpod and a sleepyhead for the 2nd and hoping they will help me to get some sleep!

A normal cot with a removable side against the side of the bed using blankets and various adjustments for sidesleeping. Bit more trouble then buying the bednest/snupod etc but costs the same and will last longer and can be done safetly. Lots of web tutorials about to help with safe adjustments :)
