Who am I supposed to phone bleeding and don't want to go to a and e

Hi
I feel like no one wants to help I'm being passed around all because my stupid mistake of not knowing what to do about this pregnancy and not having a mw yet. Am currently sat in tesco car park crying.

Last night I had bleeding and jelly discharge which looked like mucus plug. I left it and called 111 this morning. They told me to call the gp and I did said no appointments. Called 111 back who said to tell docs it's an emergency and they will see me. Called doctors back and that the last emergency appointment has gone and they close at 6 anyway. I phoned my epu who told me to go doctors told them I can't they said they don't have a gynacologist on at the moment and epu can't see me till Thursday so advised me to go to the other hospitals a and e if I am worried (half hour away)

I'm nearly 18 weeks pregnant and I'm being treated as if I'm only a few weeks and like it doesn't matter. My son was born at 25 weeks and similar things occurred which is why I'm so concerned. I don't want to turn up at a and e because I'm worried they will be annoyed that I'm there and say it's not serious (as many the people I've spoken to are saying!) I don't even know what they will do at a&e even if I did go??

Midwife? Maternity ward to get out checked out, make sure everything is ok? I wouldn't be hanging on until Thursday. Once you've taken a deep breath, make that phone call and get yourself seen by somebody.

A&E can do a lot more than the out of hours drs. I don't know if you could ring triage as you are under 24 weeks so just go straight to A&E as it is an emergency. Good luck.

You could call the GP back and say that if they can't fit you in today, you'll have to go to A&E? Hopefully they might relent, and if not, at least you can tell A&E you're there because you were told it was an emergency and your GP wouldn't see you.

A&E - without a doubt.

Did you post last night? If I remember you don't have a midwife yet?

If you suffered premature birth before I would go to a&be, no one can say you haven't tried the alternatives.

Are you still getting crampy feelings or anymore blood? If not I'd say it's more than likely nothing to worry about but let's be honest, you will worry until you get checked out. Go to hospital lovely.

My hospitals epu told me to specifically go to the other towns a & e (about half hour away) I live literally a 2 minute walk away from my local hospitals a & e (Bournemouth) yet they said "if your that concerned go to Poole a&e" is there a reason for this or should I just go to the closest one?

I had nothing all this morning was fine. Have only just checked an hour ago when I went in the toilets at the shop. Had a wee (tmi bit) and after I wiped lots of stringy red mucus type stuff was on the tissue. Then I was able to pull it out of my vagina. I put a pad in and have spotted since and have dull cramping and some internal pains. I inserted my fingers to see if there was any internal blood and my cervix is very low (literally didn't even put half a finger in) it's also very open (didn't insert any but could feel around the opening) and yes I did post last night

Just go to Bournemouth. I'm sure they can transfer you if necessary.

This really is an emergency: please go.

They do but on their website it says if there's complications during birth they will transfer you via albulance to Poole, I had to go there when I was in prem labour as Bournemouth doesn't have a nicu. I'm guessing Poole may have 24 hour gynacologist or something? I'm going to go to Poole anyway. It's better than going to my local one and getting told to drive down to Poole I suppose

I have been in your shoes and didn't go to A&E early enough and made things much worse.

Please go straight there, make a fuss and ask to be seen. You are not wasting their time and you deserve to be seen. They will triage you accordingly, let the professionals make the decisions they are trained to do.

Please go now

I thought it was you 💐

Go to your local a&e d I know it's really hard but please don't poke around or put your fingers up there. It may be cervical errosion (which I had, nothing serious at all) and rummaging around will make you bleed more.

OP you've been very unsure if you want this pregnancy or not and I can understand that this has confused everyone. Go to A&E at Poole and get seen, no one will judge you.

Is there no triage at your hospital OP?
If not go to A&E. This isn't a cut finger so don't let anyone fob you off like it is

Flowers I am so cross for you. You should be getting lots of support not fobbed off!

Please go to A and E lovely.
You should not be being fobbed off.
I say this as a mother of 26 and 24 week preemies, early intervention in difficult pregnancies is crucial if something is wrong, which probably it isn't but always better to be safe than sorry.
Best of luck.

Please do go to A&E, I was treated very well in A&E when I was pregnant. They were very kind and quick to check me out. Good luck.

Do you have any 'urgent care' wards near you? They're like A&E but for non-life threatening emergencies. Would you feel more comfortable going there?

sepa · 08/02/2016 21:18

Have you been seen OP?
