SPD, induction?

I've had SPD for weeks now. Today I'm 38+1, I've been coping sort of with constant painkillers, physio, support belt and crutches.

I took my LO to town this morning as we needed some shopping and I've come back totally crippled. I had tears streaming down my face on the way back and I'm totally bed ridden. She asked me for a drink (she's 3) and i stood up, collapsed in a heap and cried, I couldn't even take 2 steps forward.

I can only compare it to feeling like I've literally broken the bones.

With a toddler, a dog and other responsibilities I can't imagine how I'm going to cope the next 2 weeks? Do I ask for an induction... I don't want to make my baby come early Sad But how am I actually meant to function Confused

Oh, I really do know how you feel. So sorry you're going through this Flowers

Is there anyone that can help you? I had SPD with all three pregnancies (am on last one now - 37 weeks!!) - the only way I am coping now is I do not walk or go out anywhere. Yes it's not fun stuck indoors, but with first 2 pregnancies I was in unbelievable agony after any amount of movement/walking/trips out - even small trips!

It feels like your hips/body are literally falling apart. This time around we have done things so differently.

Can anyone else walk your dog? A toddler can stay indoors and do fun things with mummy without having to go out. You really need to rest for labour day.

Make sure they have SPD marked on your birth plan, so you don't get in any awkward positions your hips can't take.

Good luck. I know how bad it is x
