Fetal Fibronectin test!

Hey!

I'm 35+5 weeks and ended up on my day assessment ward today with period type pain and tightenings.

They did fetal fibronectin test due to my previous pregnancy and it has come back positive! So now I've been admitted over night to have steroids!

Has anyone else had this?

Hey Smile

I'm not sure what this test is?

I've just come and got in the spare bed as I CANNOT get comfy and have been having period type pains today plus what I think is really bad trapped wind Blush

I'm 35 weeks and 2 days. Good luck with the injections! Hope you're ok Brew

35+5 is a really good gestation, even better that they've identified that you could go early and are giving you steroids. It gives baby a really good chance of not needing support if you do end up going a bit early. Good luck

I did. Ds was evicted at two weeks overdue and weighed 10.4 lb

Midwife told me to pack my bags and get some tiny baby bits.

Try not to panic. The steroids will help if you do go into labour.

FFN has a really high false positive test so the ones who do come back positive are not very accurate but it's more of a precaution than anything. Good luck xx

Had my steroids and a sleepless night in hospital! Lol now back home and on bed rest! Hard to do with a 7ye old!! Contractions have calmed right downtown the point I'd say they were just bh now!

So just gotta play the waiting game now!
