having pregnancy symptoms, partner thinks I am but I have to wait another 5-7 days to test

Hello all I know there are probably so may of these out there but I just wanted to explain my situation and hopefully get some advice....

Me and boyf are actively trying, not that it's a routine but just basically if it happens it happens, we have a little boy who will be 2 this Valentine's Day!

My last af was very odd... And was the first normal 5 day cycle in 60 days! Which we thought I was pregnant and spent a fortune on tests, ended going to doctors and had a uti :-(

Since the end of my af we had unprotected sex 18th which was by ovulation calendar roughly when I should or could have been ovulating,

Since then -around 3 days ago I starting to get really sore boobs, not overly painful but uncomfortable even when sitting still?.? And have also had the sniffles and sneezing lots, with mood swings and very tired... But I out tiredness down to having a toddler and he has had the sniffles too, except mine are only there in the mornings and have cleared up by afternoon/ evening..

Other symptoms too:
headaches, feel more like pressure than pains,
Increase in creamy discharge (sorry tmi)
Shooting stabbing pains in my side if I stand too quickly
And as of today feeling quite sick and more tired...

So if we had unprotected sex 10 days ago and af isn't due for another 5-7 days is it too soon to test??
Or could this all be af related,
I didn't find out I was pregnant with 1st son u til I was about 7-9 weeks and that was only be have I had an ultrasound pre booked ... I had my gallbladder out in the December and in June was getting pains on the side they operated on so they booked in for ultrasound to check if there was stones left etc.... Nope instead they found cyst on my ovary and a heartbeat!!! That was the scariest day of my life!!

Any advice or anyone experiencing the same who have then had a positive pregnancy test??

Yes it is too soon to test, symptoms of early pregnancy are no different to period symptoms so those alone are not a real indicator especially so early. You should wait until your period is due or ideally a day or two late because a negative at this point would not be accurate.

Symptoms are no indication unfortunately. Each time I was pregnant, I knew immediately but had no symptoms. I did test from about 7dpo each time though as I'm a test addict 😉 I got a positive with dc1 and dc2 at 8dpo with an ultra sensitive internet cheapy. Didn't get a positive with this pregnancy until about 11dpo though.

Hi thanks for your replies, I'll hold out for as long as I can, I have a test upstairs from when we tested the time before I think it's more tempting because I know I have one haha... Ok so will wait until af is overdue

Just thought I would add that today I've had shooting pains in my lower abdomen and have been sick once sorry tmi! Still have a stuffy nose and feel shattered and still waves of feeling sick coming and going

its horrible having to wait to find out!
everyones body is different when pregnant, but theres unfortunately no way of reassuring you whether you are pregnant or not.
but i hope you get good news!

Thank you, yes it's definitely horrible waiting, have woken up so tired this morning and have a horrible headache, I know my luck that AF will come so as from now I'm trying not to think about it and keep busy.. X

First Response and Superdrug early result tests claim that they can detect pregnancy up to 5 days before your period is due, if you want to give it a whirl. However they are not 99% accurate till the day your period is due.

It's also possible to get a positive from testing early but still get AF if you have a "chemcial pregnancy" where the embryo starts to implant but doesn't stick for very long. So only use if you are comfortable with all this.

Symptoms don't mean anything. I have had symptoms before and BFN. I am now 9 weeks pregnant and had zero symptoms pre BFP.

Ok so today I have got brown/pink spotting, no cramps but still backache and nausea and soo very tired.. My ad is due tomorrow or after and has been 13 days since unprotected sex, I think I'm going to wait to see the outcome of this bleed before deciding if I need to test it not, just thought I would update x

AjP Just to reassure you, I had the exact same thing when my period was due. It only lasted about a day. I wasn't expecting to be pregnant or even trying so when I finally tested a few days later and it was positive it was a massive shock. I've got 3dc and that pregnancy was the only time I had the spotting, every pregnancy is different.

Hello all, I just thought I would give another update, sooo 10 days after unprotected sex with my partner I was getting cramps and thought here we go af on her way... Af was not due until yesterday (Monday) but on Sunday I started to have spotting tmi sorry... Brown and pink spotting and the same on Monday to, barely anything there but wore a pad I. Case it did turn into something more then I was ready for it, Tuesday it was slightly more and a little bit more red but that only happened once, today it's been all brown and hardly anything but I am today suffering with really bad nausea tiredness and backache :-( does this sound like it could be implantation as this is definitely not a normal af!
I have ordered some pregnancy tests online so when they arrive I think I might get testing... I've now got my 2 days off work so I'm going to have a lazy day with my nearly 2 year old and relax (if that's even possible) and enjoy my two days off with him xxx

Hello to anyone reading / replying thought I'd put an update,
So I had a small light bleed (implantation????) Sunday 31st Jan and was on and off spotting until Tuesday afternoon, have still got nausea tingly bbs, and had mild cramping nothing too bad, but have constant mild headaches which feel more like pressure than painful, and I am extremely tired,
I took a pregnancy test yesterday which was negative and did another one plus a digital one = 2 this morning, both still negative, still have the feeling I am going to get a visit from Aunt Flo with twinges in my right lower abdomen with a hey back and metal taste in my mouth which I noticed yesterday and again all day so far today.... Also keep getting these flutters / kicks (obviously not baby kicks) in my stomach more so when sat still or led down....I'm not sure if it's still too early to test or not so I have phoned my Drs and waiting for them to call me back,
Things is with my first and only child at mo I didn't know I was til 7-8 weeks after being sent for an ultra sound because of pains in my side.. I'm hoping that the Dr might do a blood test and find out for sure because it's driving me mad, I'm not obsessing over it - trying not too but hard to put at the back of my mind....
Has anyone else experienced this if so what was the outcome?
I'm not sure if I could be one of the few that have low HGC levels which urine test won't pick up....

Hello for anyone's that read this or will read it- little update from last post... Af showed up :-( but I didn't give up hope after this I just took a couple of months to get in tune with my cycle and their changes I.e ovulation etc... And here it is June and I'm around 8 weeks....I've never felt so tired especially with my neatly 2 1/2 year old son!! M.sickness starting to kick in a bit more as well as having constantly sore bbs!!! Sleeping at night is very difficult as can't get comfy!!
