leaking

Hi all.
I'm 28+4 and was just watching telly, looked down and noticed a wet patch on my top: where my nipple is.
Came upstairs to check and I've got clear fluid leaking from my breasts.
I originally thought it was colostrum but after googling it says colostrum is yellow so I'm just wondering if anyone has had this and if so, what is it?

Thank you in advanceSmile

It'll be milk, foremilk is very watery and can look clear at times. You'll start to produce colostrum in a few weeks.

The leaking gets worse when you breastfeed!

It's colostrum.

I had this from around the same stage. Nothing to worry about.

Not to worry Smile
My boobs leaked from about 26 weeks! One night I woke up with a wet patch down my arm and chest, woke DH up and told him off for drooling on me.....then realised it was my boobs Blush

I had clear colostrum as well as yellow when I was expecting DS.

You don't necessarily leak when you breastfeed. I used a grand total of 6 breast pads out of the giant box I bought and DS fed for about 8 months and I had a massive supply. On the flip side have a friend who is feeding her 18 month old and she still wears pads every day. It varies from person to person.

Colostrum is clear-yellowy. Having expressed the stuff well that's a jolly awful thing to do I recognise it this time around...

I've had this, totally normal.
You might need to buy some breast pads.

I had this at night from about 26 weeks, and found wearing a (soft sports) bra in bed really helped for some reason. I didn't need breast pads pre-birth, as that seemed to stop the leaking.

Totally normal, either clear or yellowy. Im 32wks and have had from wk 26 or so on and off. Doesnt warrant breast pads as mainly just minor spotting (apart from last night when I ended up with crusty patch in crook of my elbow) but as with namethattune a soft bra top in bed seems to help.
