Meds for sickness stop working?

I'm 7+5 and have suffered with constant nausea since 4 weeks and it's really getting me down. I was originally prescribed metoclopramide, which worked for the first day then stopped. I was then prescribed domperidone last week (which is what I use for my migraine sickness) last Monday. I was told I could only be on it for a week, so I'm back at the GPs tomorrow. However, it worked for the first 3 days but since Thursday I've been back to normal with hideous nausea all day long and it doesn't seem to be getting better.

Everyone says it won't last but I can't see a way forward to 12 weeks - another month of this would kill me off, never mind my business. I'm hoping the GP can give me something stronger that actually works long term tomorrow. Just looking for other peoples experiences of drugs?

There are a variety of other drugs available. Go back and talk to your gp. I'm on cyclizine which stops the worst of the sickness, but I know other people haven't found it as useful. Also, get yourself on the hyperemesis support thread - lots of far more knowledgeable people there!

Thanks SS - reading the hyperemesis thread now. Thinks just seem so bleak at the moment.
