i have my 12 week scan tomorrow morning and i am so worried that it may not all be ok. DH and i would love my mum to come. is it possible to have 2 people with you for your 1st scan, she will be at the birth and want her to be there all along the way. is it strictly 1 person only?

Our hospital has a 1 adult only rule. But I suppose she could wait in the waiting room so you know she is there if you need her iykwim.

I would guess each hospital has their own rules but I had two people at my first 12 week scan.

I had my son's dad with me for the first scan (we split) and they didn't question it when I had my mum and sister with me for the 20 week scan. I'm pretty sure they wont mind, it's not like in the delivery room where there's a certain number allowed for a reason.
Good luck tomorrow Smile

My hospital only allowed one person, my Mum was also my birthing partner as well as DH. We instead booked a private scan at 18 weeks to find out the sex and I took my Mum and Dad along to that instead :)

I brought my mum and my sister to my first scan without any issues. Not Hull though, I'm afraid.

Took my best friend and her 3 month old to my 20week. We were asked to stop talking at one point (perfectly reasonable request!) but again no problems.

I had DH, DS1 & DS2 with me for the 20 week scan for DS3. The hospital didn't mind at all.
