Has anyone got any tips to keep me occupied? All I can think about all day everyday is how many more weeks to go and I'm going crazy!
Due 21.03.16 and it feels like forever away!!Biscuit

Ooh me too - I am due on 24.03.16 - I am the same just keep counting down the days until we get to meet our little one. I am trying to keep occupied by batch cooking, getting birthday cards and presents sorted out (April has a lot of family birthdays so trying to be prepared) and reading all the books I got for xmas before I don't have the time to! Hopefully time will move fast for us both :)

I can't wait until I get to 2 weeks! Got Braxton Hicks already and back ache! I've just started packing my hospital bag but it still feels like forever until he's here!

i'm due 29th march and it's too soon - so not ready!! have major house renovations to finish, have hardly bought anything, definitely no bag packed, and will be v busy at work until the end I imagine!

perhaps writing a very comprehensive list of all the 'things to do before baby arrives' and then doing them can help fill the time - fun things, things that are difficult with a baby and all those little round the house jobs?!

or you could keep occupied by coming to my house and helping to tidy it up and sort it out?! ;)

I've got 5 weeks to go due 08th February, this time in 2 weeks my stitch will be removed so baby can come anytime from then!

I blitzed my house today, now going to relax and enjoy the next couple of weeks with my daughter 😊

I'm due 21st March too! I've got serious pressure really low; it seriously felt like baby was going to fall out earlier today :-( I can't get comfy with back ache & sore hips. Just fed up now. I'm counting down the days until I can stop work as I'm so tired all the time! I've not enjoyed pregnancy at all either.

Ah I'm 20th March - popular week!

I am so very excited of course, but also slightly panicky as we have so much to do still, including clearing the spare room of hell and junk out to make a nursery, aaggh! So since Christmas, it seems to be speeding by a bit too fast, especially as I might be induced a week early. Oh and we still haven't got names for baby either. I think we'd done nearly everything by this point last time!

We have a 2 yo DS though so this I think explains why I'm not counting down the days just yet, more hoping time slows down a bit!

However, I'm with you on the aches and pains already - WTF is that about? I feel 40 weeks pregnant already Hmm

I'm 14th March but was signed off sick today with really bad hips - so I have 10weeks on crutches making lists of things to do whilst DS1 is at nursery. Definitely feels like the calm before the storm. Somehow it was all ages away before Christmas and now there is a definite countdown feel!

Im due on the 18th March but will be having a elcs so baby will be here before then. Im nowhere near ready. We need to move before then and I still have 6 weeks to work so the next 10 weeks will be manic and probably go far too quickly.

I'm due on 18th March - I'm with you scaredmum and sepa I can't wait for this pregnancy to be over and to hold my baby in my arms. I lost my first DC at 23wks due to loss of amniotic fluid so this pregnancy has been fraught with anxiety!

Report
FrancoisLaPrune · 05/01/2016 09:49

Oh and I'm also totally unprepared. I can't bring myself to buy things in case it all goes wrong. It'll be last minute panic buying I reckon.

BumpPower · 05/01/2016 11:39

Francois I was like that with DC1 and I don't think it's a bad thing. Lots of my friends had bought "essentials" that they never used and you wouldn't believe the number of friends, neighbours and colleagues who popped by and gave us lovely things for the baby! I think it meant more to them knowing we didn't already have 5 different types of blankets/bibs or whatever so we were grateful and their gifts were useful.

20th March here and despite the fact that I have had a relatively easy time of it I'm still kinda counting down the days. Excited and a bit nervous at the same time. We have the big things bought and now stocking up on baby clothes and the smaller things.

I have 12 weeks to go now...DD 30/03/16!
I don't do well in pregnancy until the 3rd trimester usually so hoping I get to enjoy these last couple of months as the nausea is still constant and now joined by heartburn!!
Anyone have a right wriggler?? My LO does not ever seem to stop moving around!
I too have nothing sorted for this one, although they will have hand me downs so don't actually have anything to buy other than nappies.
Still can't imagine getting up in the loft to start sifting through all the baby things though!!

Peanut You pretty much exactly described my little guy - incredibly active pretty much all my waking hours, stretching his little feet into the top of my bump right now!

EDD is 17 Mach and I think I've only just realised that a new baby will be arriving soon! I can't believe how different it is second time round with a little person keeping me busy, the time has flown. I have 16 working days left - I can't wait to leave and have some fun with DS.

Hawaii I honestly thought I was going to give birth last week it felt do low and heavy - the MW said it's because everything's 'looser' and to do my pelvic floor exercises religiously. Which I have been of course... Hmm

Hey Peanut - we have the same due date! Smile

I'm enjoying this time, to be honest. I had a difficult first trimester, but I've been lucky enough to feel strong and healthy over the past few months (two ugly head colds aside). I love feeling the baby moving - so very cute.

We still have lots to due - I think we were both in denial pre-Christmas. Nursery to organise, hospital bag, baby stuff to get. But yeah, hoping to take it all in stride.

Chloe I hope the time goes quickly for you....I've no doubt I'll relate to wanting this all over once I get a few more weeks down the line. 21 March is my birthday, so it's a great date. Smile

I recently finished reading Margaret Atwood's 'The Heart Goes Last' and found it totally absorbing, so maybe give that a go if you enjoy her books. Otherwise, box sets, cooking for the freezer, chatting on the phone or following the punch and judy show of UK politics are decent alternatives....

This one may mark me out as being a completely doltish marshmallow (please be kind), but I've also been writing letters to my little one. Not often - just every month or so - talking about my dreams for him/her, funny little pregnancy stories I might forget, how much I'm thinking about them. Maybe give it a go? I always feel very warm and fuzzy afterwards anyway. I write mine on the laptop, but I read somewhere about someone setting up a designated email account for their little one to send across scan pics, thoughts, emails, etc. - the idea being to give access at 18. Presuming we don't all have chips in our heads by that point!!! Anyway, again, sorry if that one's a bit soppy....
