spotting in late pregnancy?

Hi allSmile
I'm just looking for a little friendly advice really. I'm 36+1 weeks pregnant and the past few days I've had THE WORST heartburn! (I understand it's supposed to get better in late pregnancy as baby drops but has got a lot worse!) I've been feeling very nauseous along side the heartburn (could be because of the heartburn mind). Anyway last night and today when I've been to the toilet I've noticed little spots of blood on the tissue- I've not bled for the whole pregnancy, not even at the beginning so this has thrown me out a little? LO is measuring very big and I've been told she has the tendency to come a little early because of my body type too (very short)
Are these signs or simply coincidental?Smile I'm not thinking too far ahead especially as due date isn't until the 30th of Jan but just curious as to weather or not this led to anything with you ladies? Grin
I've got a growth scan booked for Tuesday morning but would love some friendly comments in the meantime!

(This was a lot longer than I expected! Sorry!Wink)

I might also add that I'm feeling a lot of pressure down below when I stand up or even just to walk across the house it hurts! Could be because bubba is big and I'm short but thought it worth a mentionSmile although it's nothing that new, I've had this sort of pressure for at least a week I'd say!

Hi!

Im only 34 weeks but have pressure and short too (5ft) but no bleeding. Is your spotting within discharge? If so what thickness is it?

Just wondering if it's your plug going. Mine has gone but I believe grown back.

Sorry can't be more help!

Thanks for your reply! Yes there is an increase in discharge and it's quite thick, the thought that it could be the plug had crossed my mind but it was so little blood I wasn't convinced, since I posted this I've had a lot of lower back pain which seems to become more frequent when standing but I'm sure I'm just convincing myself now that it's more than it actually is! I'm just so impatient and the thought of having to wait another 4 weeks for my due date is making me crazy Grin
Best of luck for the rest of your pregnancy!

I'd say mucus plug- I didn't lose mine until labour had started, was surprisingly little blood. I also had the most horrific heartburn from weeks 35- until I popped (yesterday), even in labour I had it.

Glad I'm not the only one suffering from this horrendous heartburn! I was hoping it would ease up but not looking likely! You said you had the heartburn from week 35, at what week did you give birth? Congratulations by the way!SmileThanks
