firstly hope everyone had a great Christmas?

last night I was having a load of lightening pains which was coming every 5-10 mins and some which were quite painful. today I've been feeling LO move but it's rather low. do you think he's going further down to escape?

also about 40 mins ago I had a small gush of something. I don't know if it was discharge or water's. it was clear. I decided to lie in bed and now I can feel little trickles of fluid but again I don't know if it discharge or water's. to top it off for the past half hour I've had very mild period pain and lower backache. my hips feel more achy too. do you think it could be anything or shall I just see if it gets worse? I've also suddenly gone really tired too.

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow so I know I can pop at any point

Sounds like the beginning of labour. You should get checked out if you suspect waters have gone as they'll want to have you in after 24 hours I think?
Happy Christmas! Very accommodating of LO to get you have your dinner yesterday Wink

Sounds gross and weird...but if you've used pads since the fluid started flowing, or underwear that got wet....smell it! If it has a sweet smell, it's probably amniotic fluid!
But either way, I would go get checked out. My waters broke as a very slight, slow trickle, that I thought was wee! But I got checked at the hospital, and it was indeed amniotic fluid. My labour didn't begin on its own, so I was induced the following day at 38 weeks, and DD was born 3 hours after my first contraction, 24 hrs after my waters broke Smile

unfortunately I can't smell nothing as I have this horrid cold that's going round...o to joy Xmas Grin I've decided to have a walk around the house a bit to see if it was LO lying on a nerve. and if it is the start of labour he better hold off till later as I'm having Christmas tea at the in laws and looking forward to that haha

I'd ring your local maternity unit, this was how my waters 'went'. I think Christmas tea might have to wait a day or two...

Sounds like waters breaking to me Smile

Is your bag ready to go? Pre-warn your OH in any case.
