Hey ladies I need some help. My lmp was Oct. 23-26. I missed my November period which was scheduled to come on Nov 19. I went to the Dr Dec 1 and she did a vaginal u/s where she said she was concerned the gestational sac was smaller than she liked it to be so she wanted to do blood work. They did blood work that day and my HGC levels were at 600 something. I went back Dec 3 which was 48 hrs later and my HGC levels had more than doubled they were over 71800 which she said was a good sign but she wanted me to come back on Dec 10 for another u/s where she sent me to a u/s specialist who did a vaginal and belly u/s her Rupert when to my dr who I went to see dr directly afterwords and she said I was going to misscarry all that was visible was a gestational sac and I would pass it within two weeks or she could give me something to make me pass it. My husband and I decided to let mother nature take its course. Dec 24 will be two weeks and I have yet to pass anything no cramps no bleeding spotting nothing. It's there a chance that they could have miscalculated and I ovulated late or nothing was formed yet. She said if I didn't pass it in two weeks I needed to call and they would give me the pull to make me pass it so I wouldn't set up infection I was thinking about asking for another u/s for my peace of mind before I put something in my body to make me rid it! Thoughts please! !!!!!!

Is there any way you could visit an early pregnancy unit to get scan to double check before any pills etc? Xx

I'd ask for one more scan before you take the pill. Having said that, please don't get your hopes up - I just think it would be good for your peace of mind so you can be sure that taking the pill is the right course of action IYSWIM

What is a early pregnancy unit? The only thing I know to do is to ask my dr for another ultrasound.

Hey,

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago, I found out i was pregnant on the 11th of november, from that week onwards, i was getting pains and cramps.. i ended up going to the emergency room for a scan because although there was no blood my woman parts was having shooting pains and very uncomfortable.. I was 4 weeks and i was told to go back a few weeks later to see more as it was too early.. 3 days later in work, I bled out more than usual and I had to leave work to go to hospital again... The lady there told me, that It wont be a viable pregnancy because the sac looked like it was collapsing and also I had a big blood clot around it that was bigger than the sac. I was told to go back the following week to see if they can detect a heart beat (6 weeks).. and sadly they was right the pregnancy ended the week before, on some level I knew because I was loosing the pregnancy symptoms. I thought the same thing as you maybe the dates was wrong etc because for dating reasons they always add on the extra week to work out when its due.. but it wasnt to be for me, I even paid for a private scan where they explained to me in greater detail what was happening. It was at that moment I accepted what was happening and booked a d&c as I wanted it over with asap, to help me move on. I was devastated because I really wanted my little bean.

Its hard I know.. but you are strong, and be kind to yourself in the process of all of this xx big hugs xx

Huh? This doesn't make sense to me. Sac often empty at 6 wks and if hcg rising why would they think you're miscarrying? Did I miss something in the post?

Sorry for the late reply, an early pregnancy unit is usually attached to hospital x

Charloa, which country are you in. From what you e said it seems that your not in England ? If so they must have a different protocol to English NHS.
If you are in England an early pregnancy unit will be able to give you another scan prior to any further treatment you may need.

Definitely go with your gut and demand another scan OP. They should recognise that it's essential for your peace of mind to have that reassurance. After all, 6 weeks is still so early. Flowers
