Will I ever get the 'glow'

Am wondering if will ever get that 'glow' I hear so much about. At the moment people just do a double look at me and go.. ' oh you're not looking well at all'. Throwing up all the time, flaky skin and lank hair, just feel yuck!! Keep being told will hit the 12 weeks mark and I will blossom!

The only glow I ever got was after throwing up for the 7th time that day. Which happened throughout my pregnancy and didn't stop. In fact I was sick the hour before I went into hospital in labour. So you may never get the glow, no. I did get lovely skin from about 20 weeks though and my hair was lucious and beautiful.

People tell me I'm glowing (21weeks) but I think I just look fat Grin My hair is thicker now though!

Sadly no one's told me I'm glowing yet (now 22w), but I do have clearer skin and less greasy, thicker hair ...and I'm having a boy which fits with some old wives tales ;)

I kind of figure we'll all be 'lucky' or not in different aspects of pregnancy & birth, n maybe it kind of evens out in the end ??

I never got it in either pregnancy. Sad

25 weeks and still waiting. I went from feeling greasy (hair and skin) to feeling flabby now like a tubby monster!
Someone said they thought I looked glowing so maybe it's something the pregnant person never notices

Pregnancy wasn't kind to my body apart from getting clearer skin and lovely thick hair form about halfway through until the end. My skin was horrible and spotty in the first trimester.

I glowed. For about 3 hours. It was a Thursday.

I did not enjoy being pregnant, it was horrible catalogue of feeling crap/worrying about things.

The good side of that was that I felt great afterwards by contrast Grin!

12 weeks and my acne is worse than when I was a teen! I skyped my Mum who called my Dad to come look at me as she was so shocked at how awful I was looking..... She speaks before she thinks lol. But I feel your pain, hopefully the glow will hit soon!

I think the 'pregnancy glow' is a myth peddled by the pregnancy council, or something.

You will go from looking a knackered, spotty mess to a distressed fatso (and I only put on 21lbs every time), but people tell you you're glowing and you believe them because you have no alternative.

I did get enormous hair...if that can be perceived as a good thing.

Definitely a myth. I have had clearer skin but felt like crap through each trimester. When people said I was blooming it was because I was overheating!

People tell me I'm "blossoming" which I've come to realise is a nice way of saying that my bump is enormous! I think it's nice that they're sensitive of my giant pregnant lady hormones, but I know it's all lies!
I'm still suffering with sickness at 24 weeks so have a permanent washed out look... My hair did grow like they promised, but not just on my head, so I look/feel like a gorilla... And while the spots have died down, they've just been replaced with sad flaky skin.
My midwife says the only reason we think everyone is glowing and fabulous during pregnancy is because they're the minority that feel up to leaving the house!

I had a good couple of weeks towards the end of second trimester, wouldn't say I 'glowed' but slept well and had loads of energy, so probably looked a bit better (made the effort to straighten my hair etc!).

That was pretty much where I peaked...

my first pregnancy I definitely had the glow....lovely skin, nice thick hair, really long strong nails......im now 14+6 with DC2......acne like a teenager, very greasy skin but really bad dry patches (how is that even possible!) eczema has gone awful!! cant complain about my hair because its always flat with no volume but today it is really soft!! im starting to think the "glow" isn't going to happen this time too!

All I seem to have had this pregnancy is, "ooo you look really ill"......great when I cant be bothered in work....play on it and go home!
