I have had two postive pregnancy tests and af is over a week late now. However i have no sickness, no pain in my breasts. Is this normal for 4 weeks plus.

My symptoms started at 6 weeks. Don't worry-everyone is different! Xx

My symptoms didn't begin until 7 weeks exactly. Enjoy being symptom free while it lasts! Honestly wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks ladies. At the moment it feels unreal. Am i really pregnant. It must be a mistake. I keep expecting af every time i go to the toilet. Dh and are still saying maybe. We almost bought a silly xmas musical toy today. We carried it all around the supermarket then left it at the till. Its taken us ages to get here and im so worried. Is it normal to get no breast pain. I seriously have no symptoms.

You are only four weeks Confused I'm 32 weeks and have had very few symptoms, I count myself lucky, I don't worry about it.

First pregnancy I had no symptoms at all, all the way through. I struggled to believe it was happening even after the first scan and I didn't show for a long time.
It took a while for my head to catch up with my body in that respect. I found in pregnancy there's a lot of stuff that's 'normal' even if it doesn't feel like it at the time, or is different from others experiences so try not to worry.

The thing about early pregnancy is that it's not visible (if that makes sense). My husband couldn't get his head around it because I didn't "have a pregnant stomach" (his words lol). I felt the same as you do-I kept thinking there'd been a mistake! Could you afford an early reassurance scan? That made things real for me and settled some of my anxiety. Flowers

I wouldn't go for a scan until 7/8 weeks though if you can wait-you won't see much at all yet as its so teeny!

Why would have symptoms so early on?

Relax.

Mmuffins thats not very supportive. Ive never been pregnant and know no one in rl who is pregnant at the moment. All my research on the internet, tv shows that people are sick or have painful breasts. Its taken years to get here and at now 5 weeks ive still no symptoms and are very worried this pregnancy isnt going to stay. Thanks to those who answered my worried question. I know i should be grateful i am symptom free but if no symptoms means no baby you know what id choose. Sock 7 weeks they started for you. Did you have any pain in your breasts before as i have nothing and im very worried.

I had no symptoms at all until I got a bump at around 15 weeks.... thinking about it I had some bloating and trapped wind in the early weeks but that was all. I went for a scan at 8 weeks and was shocked to see something on the screen! So don't worry, just count yourself lucky Smile

I think it's fairly rare to have symptoms until 6-7 weeks ish. Those first few weeks your hormone levels are still pretty low, and it's them which cause the symptoms. With my first I didn't take a test until around 6 weeks and certainly had no symptoms before then. With my second i tested at 5+ weeks and didn't have any symptoms until 7 weeks.

I never had any symptoms with my son! I new I was pregnant, but blossomed and was never sick, never had heart burn or integestion & lost 3 stone!

It depends on the person some people suffer more than others xoxSmile

Harbo ive told my gp but im only 5 weeks when do they contact you and when do you get scans. Its so strange at the moment as although ive missed my period and had three positive tests it doesnt feel real. I really wish i knew someone in rl who was pregnant. I know every pregnancy is different. We all had a huge discussion re xmas meal and alcohol yesterday with my colleagues at lunch time. A new lady didnt want to drink as driving. I told them as its a lunch time meal i dont drink alcohol then as it goes to my head (which is very true). No one knows at work and tbh they dont know me well enough anyway as newish (this year) job.

I think most people think it's slightly unreal at the beginning, as there is nothing tangible IYSWIM. I felt like that until I had a scan and saw the baby! With my first I had an early scan at 8+5 due to spotting (all was fine). With second I paid for a private scan at 8 weeks as it was a bit of a surprise and it didn't feel real at all!

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 03/12/2015 09:58

Honestly, I think it would be more unusual to have symptoms at 4-5 weeks!

The first few weeks of pregnancy seem so long, particularly when there is additional stress-I am afraid you just have to wait it out, I am not sure what could be done to reassure you at this stage.

I hope you do find that reassurance soon, and then have a sympton free pregnancy- some people do!

I don't think it's unsupportive to say that what you're experiencing is normal. My sickness didn't start until 10 weeks, no bump til 18 weeks and no kicks til 21 weeks. Currently 33 weeks and unless I looked down at the bump I can honestly say I feel no different to when I wasn't pregnant. I was and still am extremely anxious due to a previous miscarriage but honestly it really is just a waiting game. If you do go down the early scan route please hold out til 8 weeks or so, there really isn't anything to see yet.
Good luck Flowers
