Cheap changing bag? What will you be using?

Looking to buy a cheap black changing bag that dh can use too. Saw a messenger bag in mothercare but it's now out of stock
Don't really want to spend anything more than £30
What bags are you Using/going to be using?

I'm going to be using either the one that came with my pram or the free one I got with boots parenting club.

I can't get the free parenting one as I've had it before but didn't keep it and also boots are being a pita over a change of address and sending me a new card as I'd lost mine (I have emailed them various times and tried signing up as a new customer but I've given up now)

Get the free one from boots or just buy a backpack and a travel change mat. Will last much longer

A shopping bag, one of those canvas bag-for-life yokes will do perfectly. You can put a few nappies and wipes, a spare babygro and a soother in any bag, really. The Changing Bag thing is such a swizz.

I got one discounted from wowcher. Think it was £9. It just looks like a black satchel. Changing bags do seem to come up quite often on discount sites.

Lots of changing bags also seem to come up on my local facebook selling pages (for 2nd hand baby stuff). Any in your area?

I got a brand new one from mothercare on eBay for half price so was £22 from £45

Look at places that sell returned goodssuch as Amazon open box deals or nursery savings on eBay which is all mothercare

I got one from Amazon, by a company called Allis. They have a few different ones on there, around the £20 mark

I have an addias messenger bag that bought from a discount sports shop, we previously used it to carry medical equipment . It's a perfect size. That or a rucksack. I'm going to use plastic zip lock bags to section up the different bits I'll need.

I bought a cheap rucksack. Shoulder bags got in the way when I used the pushchair and were impossible with the sling.

I never used a special one, just bought a roll up mat that squashed to nothing and a normal little backpack to put the bits in.
It all came to about a fiver, would now probably be about £15 for both mat and bag.

I had a second had Skiphop which was pretty good. Also never had a change bag - think its a big swizz that results in you carting around loads more stuff than you need.

Bought a second hand one from eBay for £12. It's really fun, coloured stripes. I love it. Also very sturdy and plastic coated so will stay dry! Very important! 😊

I used "proper" changing bags for DC1. Waste of money. Overpriced - mummy mark-up definitely applied.

For the next two DC, I made sure I had a bag I could use to carry stuff in it. You know, a bag. A normal bag. A bag that I liked, that was the right size and style for my own personal needs. It is just a bag. A bag that you happen to put baby stuff in. And loads of other crap too probably.

Wet bits got carried in a little wash bag inside the bag.

We used a large Crumpler messenger bag - which was supposed to be a temporary thing until we found a 'proper' one we liked.

We never did. The Crumpler was just SO roomy and compartmentalised we stuck with it and will do same for dc2. It's not very attractive but who cares!

Any bag does the job perfectly fine! I got a free tote bag with a zip from something years ago and it has done perfectly as a changing bag for 3 yrs now and 2 children.

Are you signed up to the Emma's diary emails? I got a code for 80% off a changing bag on there this week. It's definitely not worth the price before the discount, but for less than £20 I think it's pretty good.
This will my first baby so no idea how practical the bag is going to be but seems nice and roomy with lots of pockets and comes with a mini fold up changing mat :)

I've bought this Johnsons baby bath set from mothercare. It's a little bag that has all the bath stuff, but also a changing mat. Can take all the bath stuff out, popped nappies, wipes, some baby grows in and it will fit in my handbag/DHs rucksack.

I don't see the point in overly expensive changing bags, so I went on Amazon and got a black and white striped tote style changing bag from a company called Allis. Was around the £20 mark and looks great with my pram

Tesco have the best range and man style friendly.
I have the babymoov in black/grey

Basic rucksack I owned already. Started with neat little clutch and after a couple of incidents decided more space was necessary for a change of clothes! Easoer with a sling as well!
