Pregnancy

7 weeks, clots bleeding & cramps :-(

I have been lurking on this board, getting all excited etc etc. Didn't think my first post would end up like this.

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I was already worrying slightly about my lack of symptoms with this one, by now with my first 2 I had terrible nausea but have had nothing with this one. Also my boobs stopped hurting about a week ago.

Woke up this morning to period pain cramping which has ramped up to quite painful, I am passing small clots and some blood.

I just don't have a clue what to do. In my heart I feel like this is over now. Do I go to a&e? Google seems to advise that a&e can't scan me anyway and that I need to go to an Early Pregnancy Unit. None of these units are open on weekends and all say they need referrals from a&e/doctors. So do I need to go and sit in a&e for them to just refer me? Feels pointless when all I want to do is lay in bed and cry :-(

Hello
Sorry to hear this. Go to A and E and they will either scan you or send you to the antenatal dept. There is always someone who can help, even at the weekend. Let us know how you get on xx

I just wanted to say how sorry I am that you have to go through this. I've also been through two miscarriages...one was at 7 weeks in July. It started off as pink/reddish spotting and then the next day turned bright red with clots. It was the weekend and I knew I had miscarried so I waited until Monday morning to get a referral for a scan to have it confirmed. You may be able to get seen in a&e earlier though! If it helps after my 1st mc, I conceived my daughter straight away (I waited 3 months after my Erpc as it was a mmc) and the second time I got pregnant again straight away and am now 15 weeks pregnant. Be kind to yourself...if you need to take time off work, do it. Hoping you have a good real life support network. If you feel like pm me feel free to. Flowers

I went to the EPU today and they confirmed I have miscarried.

I just wanted to come back and thank you both for your very kind replies.

Ah Hun I'm so sorry for your loss. Please try to be kind to yourself. The miscarriage boards are great support as are the conception boards if/when you feel ready to TTC. Please remember there's nothing you could have done. Your baby is still waiting for you...that's what I realized when I got pregnant with dd. Sending you hugs xx

I am so sorry for your loss, i miscarried in January and it was an exhausting emotional time.

Make sure you take some time to rest and heal. I found the miscarriage association forum amazing, i have used it regularly since and have some amazing support through my subsequent pregnancy

Take care x
