Dates and labour?

Okay so my original dye date was 7th November but at my 12 weeks scan they put me back to 30th November which makes me 35 weeks. I am having regulate scans as I have GD and quite a few complications with my health (baby is healthy though)
Had a scan yesterday by the lead midwife who has been performing all my scans since 30 weeks. And although baby is measuring 35 weeks she said my uterus is right up under my ribs already which she said normally happens around 36/7 weeks. And she commented that by my original dates I would have been 38+3. And said wouldn't it be funny if your original date was correct and you go into labour soon. I didn't really take much notice to her comment as assumed it was normal for uterus to be up under ribs earlier.

Came home and read her report and she has stated on the reply the gestational age by us is 35+1 but gestational age by dates is 38+3 and has wrote down the two due dates I had 7th and 30th. She has also wrote that my uterus is up under ribs and baby is head down and has stated aswell that my tummy measures 40cm which she said is big for 35 weeks (although I know this isn't very accurate). I'm assuming she is concerned about my original due date being correct as she never wrote any of this in my previous reports. Now I'm at home I'm thinking was she hinting at me to ask was my original due date correct. She turned the scan to 3d to show me baby's face etc and I'm wondering is there a possibility I could go into labour as original date was correct. I'm due to be induced at 37 weeks anyway so 2 more weeks either way won't make a diffference.

I should have asked yesterday but I'm only realising now that she was hinting at something.

I know this boost is confusing but just wondering do I prepare myself to go into labour anytime now or just go by 35 weeks and wait to be induced ?

I think it is very unlikely that your 12 week scan was wrong by three weeks - babies grow very fast early on in pregnancy and there would be a big difference between a 9 week and a 12 week foetus.

However, babies can and do come along before their due dates so there is no harm in preparing to give birth sooner than expected - get your hospital bag packed and wait and see what happens.

I am 35 weeks too, and the baby is wedged in under my ribs. I'm not measuring large but I am quite a small person and there isn't much room for a baby in there! My understanding was that the baby will probably move down into your pelvis later on in the pregnancy.

Good luck Flowers

Thanks snozzyberry

I assumed the same a 12 weeks scan couldn't be out by that much and she's still measuring 35 weeks. She is head down in pelvis already but hasn't fully engaged yet.

Lucky enough I have my hospital bag packed since 33 weeks as was admitted at 32 weeks completely unprepared and they threatened to induce me so I'm now prepared I'm just worried as I don't think I would mentally be ready lol but then again I might never be mentally prepared as its my first baby and have no idea what to expect.

How are you finding things at 35 weeks?
I stopped feeling her movements at 32 weeks hence the admission to hospital and still don't feel them now. I only get to see my tummy move or feel her with my hand although I think some of her movements I feel as pain as sometimes when I see my tummy move it's accompanied by pain if that makes sense x

I also have my hospital bag packed as last time I gave birth at 35 weeks!

This time fingers crossed I am having a much less eventful pregnancy although I am feeling quite tired and uncomfortable. I am hoping to make it to 37 weeks this time but then I will want the baby out!

Do you know where your placenta is? With dd mine was anterior, meaning you don't feel as much movement because the placenta is in the way. This time around I feel them much more and sometimes they are quite painful.

It's good to be prepared isn't it after the admission I felt very stressed bout not being organized.

Hopefully you do get to 37 weeks. They originally were going to induce me at 32 weeks as that's when I stopped feeling her movements and I'd felt them vigorously everyday up to that. Then they said 36 weeks and I refused I told them 37 is the earliest I want her out so we made an agreement that I go to maternity 3/4 times a week for ctg monitoring and they will let me go to 37 weeks.

My placenta is anterior but they said its not in the way of her movements and that's why I felt her from 17 week and then I stopped feeling her at 32 weeks which is strange. They aren't sure if it's because of fluid or if I just simply can't feel it for no real reason. It was very weird and worrying when she stopped moving or so I thought it was the 5th time I'd had no movement. And now I don't feel it at all even though I see my tummy violently shake and get feet poking out x
