Making myself ill

Hi all

I got a BFP last Sunday and think I'm approx 5+3. I had an antenatal clinic appt today where they scanned me and could see gestational sac and yolk but nothing else. I think I'm okay with this as have read this is quite normal.

I am however worrying myself to death that I am literally just waiting to mc. I cannot shake the feeling that something just isn't right. I'm guessing this is completely normal? Does it ever go away? I just want to fast forward the next few weeks and start to maybe enjoy things. I am convinced this will all end soon. It's like I forget that pregnancies actually do carry on to term when people find out so early!

I'm afraid it doesn't always go away, but you will get better at managing it. If the anxiety gets too much, ask to be referred to the mental health midwife for a chat. Flowers

Sounds like me for the first 12 weeks. I just kept thinking I'd miscarry. Every time I went to the loo I was checking my way underwear and the tissue. Every twinge and I thought that was it. I'm 27 weeks now and feel much better about it. I had a bleed last week and it all came flooding back though, was horrible.
