Hello , this is my first time posting,
I am so confused by all this,

I have pcos and 2 children already,
I have been trying to conceive for a year now

I think I am 18 dpo........
Had awful cramps for last five days, period was due 2 days ago....ish

Cycles vary from 30-32 days

Anyway....did an Internet cheapy test yesterday and I saw a really really faint line!
So faint my bf could t see it :-/
So I tried a frer test today and it's still faint

Am worried after reading on here about chemical pregnancies and mc , I dunno what to think :-(

Please could you spare a few mins to look at these and see what u think?

Thank you in advance x

That's a pretty good line! A bit like mine, I'm 12dpo but have quite short cycles... I've seen everywhere that a line is a line! Give the doc a call and see if your levels are ok, but sometimes it just takes a while to show up strongly! Congratulations!!

Well.......I'm not feeling very positive now and am even more confused :-(
Did another test with fmu also using a frer and its lighter :-/

Does this mean it's a chemical ?

I think it's pretty normal for a test to be faint when you've only just missed a period. Try not to worry! I have a feeling that the doctor would say wait a few days and test again before they can tell you anything more.

Thank you for replying x I think the more I test the worse I'm getting lol

I am lucky to have to children already, but they are with my ex,
I have been with my new partner 6 years and I'm 38 so time is running out,
My dr can't give me any more clomed (for pcos) as I have had 9 cycles so far

So this is the last chance as I don't have periods normally :-(

I can still see a line in your second photo, this must be really stressful, but hopefully the doctor will clear things up! Might just be a different sensitivity to the first test? Lots of good thoughts going your way!

Regardless of the test (which is positive!) if your BBT is still raised after 18 days you can safely say you're pregnant! Looks like you had a lovely implantation dip Smile if it was chemical your BBT would have dipped by now.

Ps. Stop taking your BBT now. It'll only drive you barmy

Also, this might be interesting for you! www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=20 Shows the percentage of tests for each day after ovulation! Mine are still faint at 13dpo but trying to not worry!

How faint the line is means nothing about the viability of the pregnancy. They tell you that you're pregnant, no more and no less.

I don't think the GP will be testing HCG levels atm as there is no clinical need. You're only just late for your period and testing positive for pregnancy.

I know it's a worrying time and I have everything crossed for you. Try to step away from the tests for now if you can. They aren't helping with your anxiety.

Thank you so much for your replies x
I have just had a blood test done at Drs and find out results in a few days

But seeing as I am so impatient I bought a clearblue digital

Thank you for the advice regarding stop doing bbt as it has dropped today and that's made me worse :-/

That's def a bfp. Do a FR test each morning for the next few days and hopefully you should see the lines darkening.

You also may not be 18dpo, you may have ovulated later. Don't panic yet, good luck!

Clearblue digital are not notorious for false positives at all. Where on earth did you read that?

False positives are very rare.

You need to stop peeing on sticks. They aren't telling you anything at all.

All a positive pregnancy test is telling you is there is hcg in your urine. They are not able to really determine how much because it is just enough that it filters into the urine from the blood (it's not a waste product thst your kidneys actively remove).
Wait for your blood test.

I can link you to a person claiming the Queen is a lizard if you like? I suspect it isn't true and there are lots of people who talk about it on the Internet.

That's one thread and a couple of comments. People are free to post what they like on the Internet. False positives are rare. They really are.

a dip like that is nothing to worry about - it is getting colder weather.

As a POAS addict who wouldn't believe 'cheap' tests and spent a further £20+ on tests and now sitting here 29 weeks pregnant, I can feel your anxiety but can safely say that you need to cut out the tests & BBT now. You've achieved your goal, you're pregnant! yaaaaaay! :)

I know it's easier said than done because it sounds like it's much wanted and a 'last' chance but you'll look back on this time in a few weeks and wish you'd enjoyed it rather than worrying. Step away from Google ;)

I always got stronger positives with afternoon wee in early days. I think I read somewhere that everyone hcg filters into their urine differently, to do with metabolism and all that. So some.women have stronger positives later in the day some with fmu.
