:( can't shake the feeling

Not last night but one before I woke up to a stabbing pain in my belly. It wasn't consistent and it was just one big one but it hurt so much! Then yesterday I had stomach pains all day. I'm 11 weeks pregnant. I have not had any bleeding at all, and I keep just telling my self its ligament and growing pain but I just have a really bad feeling now that I'm wrong. I did have really bad sickness yesterday, worse than it has been for a while. But I so keep reading about missed miscarriages (didn't know they were a thing) and I can't get it out of my head that that is what they're going to say to me when I have my scan (which hasn't come through yet!) I know I'm being ridiculous but I just have a feeling. I have a stressful and very physical job and I know I have probably been over doing it as well, but because I haven't told anyone I can't really find excuses not to do things. Help :( should I ring my midwife or should i just stick it out until my appointment comes. I keep dreaming about worst case scenario :(

You just have to stick it out or I went to the doctors as I had the stabbing pain amd very sore tummy and he rang EPU for an early scan Im 9 weeks, which is tomorrow Im so scared the baby is going to have jo heartbeat and so is my husband. I understand how you feel, we had a missed misscarriage with our first pregnancy. I have had 2 children after that, but this is a suprise baby and our last as my husband goes for the snip in september so its kind of a miracle baby and we are just so scared of having it taken away :(

phone your MW, they will be able to give you some good advice and reassure you/put you on the right path, or at least check up on your scan date!

Could you take a day off sick to rest a little as your job may not be helping if you're over-doing it?

aww worried Hun please try not to worry it doesn't always mean the worse. we just automatically think the worse naturally..when do you have your 12w scan? either way it will be pretty soon if your worried ask if your doctor can refer you for a scan.. I've had 3 bleeds and still saw a healthy baby and I'm now 17w4d but on Saturday just gone I was rushed to hospital with severe lower abdomen stabbing pains all across my stomach so painful they took my breath away and i was very faint.. obz I thought the worse but I was kept in for 4 hours while they observed me.. checked on baby ( shes fine thankgod) and they can't tell me what happened and just put it down as pregnancy related the doctor said pains like this can be common and can sometimes be linked to your digestive system? I got them again 3 times that following night and I just lay in bed and cried but I've had nothing since then! lucky I started feeling baby move at 16w so I'm not as worried as I can feel her wriggle around..
hopefully your will be something similar! but just get checked by ur doctors or Mw to put your mind at rest.. hope your okay xx

yeah and as 5hell said just take a day off .. if your employer know your pregnant it can't affect you sickness record.. have a rest and try to de - stress x

Thank you all for you kind words.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to take the day off work due to nature of job, but I will try to take it as easy as possible. I've phoned my midwife and she's booked me in for a scan on Thursday at the epu. Fingers crossed all is well, just seems a long time to wait to know :(. I am also condensed because I've been so sick, especially yesterday which was my worst day but today it seems to have gone? Very odd!

I would say that no bleeding means no miscarriage and you are on exactly the same level of risk right now as everyone else who is 11 wks. Please try not to read into pains, they really mean nothing unless you have proper bleeding to go with them. I remember terrible stabbing pains at 11 wks on all 3 pregnancies. It understandably freaks you out but I always calmed myself by thinking there was no indication of a real problem unless I saw blood too. You must have your scan coming up soon? If not, I would go for a private one for reassurance.

I've had 3 miscarriages. 1 of those missed. If you were having an mc you would know about it.

If it's a missed miscarriage, you'll be none the wiser as you can't feel anything. Your body thinks you are still pregnant.

It's v likely to be ligament pain but I agree with others you may need to try and rest.
