I'm feeling the same today! Have read things about people feeling better after 15/16 weeks. Waiting for that to happen!! Just want my bed today

Can I join the rant? Im sick of feeling sick! I too havent actually been sick but have been heaving quite alot and generally feeling unwell, like im coming down with a bug. Every day is an effort, getting up in the morning, getting ready for work, commutting to work and back and attempting to cook a meal in the evening that im forcing myself to eat even though I dont fancy it. Im 14 weeks and have been feeling like this since about 5 weeks so im getting quite down. The tears have been flowing far too much - im upstairs doing it silently so as not to concern my boyfriend as he's really worried about me. The only relief I get is when Im asleep and, like you s098, my bed is all i want, all day every day! Plus the headaches are getting quite frequent - im worried about taking paracetamol for it. Im having to put a brave face on but i feel so miserable.

Can I say it will (hopefully) get better.

I felt sick all day everyday from 5 weeks to 16 weeks and then it just got better. My lifesaver was watermelon.

I've had the headaches too lately and definitely the tears! Had a little cry before work this morning. Glad we can all rant on here, feel sorry for the bf sometimes plus he doesn't really understand
Makes me wonder why/ how people have more than one baby but apparently all the crap stuff is 'forgotten' once you've had the baby!

I'm on number 3, and I would like to join you all and say I am sick of feeling sick all day long and all night.

Nausea never goes away. And it does get me down. I cry. A lot. Don't be afraid to have a cry in front of DH/DP, they need to know it's not easy (if I didn't tell him how sick I was feeling, he wouldn't know, and I can't be doing with that! He MUST know 24/7 how crap I feel Grin)

I do think nausea is much harder for anyone to understand. When I had my head down the toilet at 4 weeks, I had a lot more sympathy than now, when I just say I'm feeling really sick. Being sick is evil, feeling like you're going to be sick all the live long day....also evil!!

Feels like groundhog day every day Sad

Mine went away with both before at 16 weeks.

Definitely didn't forget how bad the sickness was, hence my huge gaps between my children!

Good luck to everyone, hope the sickness passes soon!! x

It's so miserable. And I agree that it's hard for others to understand. It was the constancy of it that got me -moment I woke up till moment I went to sleep. 13 weeks now and it's lifted in the morning, still there in afternoon and eve but manageable - definitely improvements! Last time it was gone completely by this point. Good luck and wishing you well soon. Oh, and ICE LOLLIES.

Ice lollies defo help! I had a McFlurry the other day, boy was that good! But ive heard you shouldnt eat that sort of soft ice cream, only the harder stuff. Can anyone confirm?

missy I wouldn't have survived 3rd trimester heartburn without mcflurries. I think it's ok if it's from somewhere 'reputable' ie that keeps the machine clean.

Came on to say I remember feeling so cross at 10 weeks when all my stupid apps told me I'd start feeling better when the placenta took over or whatever and I bloody didn't. From 16 weeks I was back to normal though.

I had really bad sickness weeks 4-7, but completely changed my diet and that's helped majorly, to the point where at just over 8 weeks I'm worrying the pregnancy has ended....

I graze most the day. Have a pita bread for breakfast, soup about midday, a v small meal (risotto lately) about 4 and then a small dinner. All my food is plain. Anything with dairy in makes me throw up. Any recipe type meals rather than just plain food makes me sick too.

It's a bit boring, but better than being sick! I'm still nauseous so I've started wearing those sea sickness bands which are little miracles. I would definitely recommend them!

I have fruit in between throughout the day, plenty of water and a handful of calcium tablets! Even butter on toast was making me sick.

I have lost about a kilo, but read that the baby doesn't need any food from you until about 13 weeks, which is when it lets you eat! If I'm not hungry, I don't eat and will leave half my dinner if I get full/queasy.

Considering increased appetite is supposedly a symptom of pregnancy, surprised at how little I'm eating now compared to pre-pregnancy!

I agree nausea is worse than being sick. At least there's some relief with being sick!

Yep it's awful, I was feeling better so stopped taking my anti sickness meds but now it's constant nausea (17 weeks). Must be over soon!

Re ice cream, I think it's the stuff from vans you're meant to stay away from as you don't know how clean they are, you would hope mcd is reliably clean but maybe not! I am not being the most careful preggo this time round admittedly, so I would

Woohoo, McFlurries it is then! Honestly, the excitement I felt with every mouthful was ridiculous.

Has anyone struggled to eat their vegetables, only i usually love them but just cant face them?

I have been the same
Since about 8 weeks pregnant (am 34+4 today) and it hasn't improved much sadly but I know a lot of
People say it does get better after about 16 weeks! My top tip
Is to eat whatever you can whenever you can and whatever you fancy! And I now want a mcflurry after reading this lol

Brummiegirl15 · 14/08/2015 19:07

I'm exactly the same. 15+4 and miserable as sin. Constant unrelenting nausea and I'm so exhausted I can barely function.

Where is this glow and energy talks of? Because it's not here yet!!!!

My sympathies.... I'm 31 weeks and nauseous throughout.

Have a look on the hyperemesisthreads - the ladies on there were a great support to me when I was feeling really low.

No remedies as such worked for me (seriously I must have been told to eat fecking ginger biscuits a million times) but the only things I can tell you that made it worse/ better for me were:

Tiredness- made it worse. Rest if. You can
Not eating- very hard to eat when you feel like that but the longer you don't eat the worse you feel. Ditto drinking of course!
Drugs- if you're really struggling, go see your GP. None of the drugs worked for me but it's worth a try!
Acid - ranitidine or olmeprazole is your ally - I found I was in a cycle of puke-acid-raw throat-wheezy-puke. The ranitidine helped a lot!

Another one here too who is completely and utterly sick of feeling sick! I'm 14+6 and no sign of it easing. With DD it lasted for 7 months so I'm not hopeful (she's 7 now and it's on of the main reasons for large age gap!).

It's so debilitating. All I want to do is lie down all day. It's really getting me down and so hard trying to carry on with general everyday activities when feeling so damn nauseous all the time. I have no energy for anything. Trying so hard for DDs sake to carry on with what we'd normally do so she doesn't suffer but last couple of days have been particularly bad and we spent most of yesterday indoors.

Really hope we all start to see an improvemt and start to feel better soon x

Joining in here!
24 weeks and still nauseous every day. Not vomiting so much now (up til recently it was 2 or 3 times daily) but still feeling sick. And still so bloody tired all the time - although I am turning 43 next week and have a 3 yr 10 month old so that's obvs something to do with the tiredness!

Iced water, eating little and often helps me and sucking polo mints to get rid of the awful taste in my mouth!

The hyperemesis threads are really good so do check them out!

Casablanca78 I definitely feel your pain! There's an 8 year gap between DC1 and DC2 and now there will be a 5 year gap with this one and DC2.

Everyone says why? I say the sickness is so evil. They say 'it can't be that bad surely'. I want to punch them Grin.

I am on guilt overload with the summer holidays and staying indoors a lot Sad
