Pissed off in Labour Ward!!!

Was induced yesterday & today they moved me from antenatal ward to labour ward after my waters broke!

Been given the gel at 8pm & then told after 6hours if it hasn't worked then will put me on the Harmonal drip. Now been told they arent going to do anything until 6am!

They've given me a shared room which has no windows only fits a bed & recliner chair (for partner) although can't use in recline position because room is too damn small!

I'm so angry, cos in antenatal ward I had my own room spacey & could actually breath! I was told from day 1 that if I am a induction patient I would have my own room!

What should I do?

I'm not in labour so technically shouldn't really be in labour ward!

Staff are rude!

Probably better to be on labour ward in case things ramp up!?
I'm not sure what the guidelines are about length of time from waters breaking to delivery, ie are they moving things along quickly enough, but I do think what they are doing was suggested of best practice when I was induced eg pessary overnight, meaning unless it works quickly you should be able to sleep while it gets things going, then they pop you on a drip in the morning if necessary and hopefully you've got some rest.

My advice- get as much rest as you can now before the drip goes in. That tends to ram the intensity up and you could find it tough going. So rest and dont worry about small room etc. i get that youre probably nervous and using it as a distraction but its not doing you any good to be getting wound up.
