posting here as there doesn't seem to be much traffic on the Childbirth board

Has anyone given birth at C&W with GD (diet controlled - hopefully!)

I've been told their lovely birthing centre is now off-limits for me (boo) and it's likely I'll need fetal monitoring so a water birth may be unlikely.

I'd love to hear anyone's experiences as my appointment with the GD clinic isn't for another week.

Were you allowed to go overdue?

If not, when did they induce?

What was the birth like?

I'd really appreciate any advice - it's my first and I was already scared about the birth, knowing I have to go to the labour ward has me petrified!

I havnt had a baby in that hospital, but I believe generally that they like to induce gd babies, because they can be large in size and they like to keep the c section numbers down.

but I think it usually depends on how big baby is by their growths scans and if you have been keeping your sugar levels below a certain number.

hope someone who has delivered at that hospital comes along for you soon.
