Sharp pain under bump

Feeling sore for some reason this morning. Nearly 25 weeks and woke up with a sharp stabbing pain under my bump to the right. Feels like the baby's lying very low down so it could be a twingeing muscle or nerve. Lower back pain too.

We did have sex last night which could explain soreness but we weren't all that vigorous.

Just feeling a bit rotten and wanting a bit of a 'there there' if anyone has one to spare!! Why does every little twinge have me in a slight panic (albeit with the sensible side of my brain telling me all is well)?!

Saw midwife Monday and heartbeat fine, my bp is good etc so no reason to worry...

Hey there coffee,

any chance you just slept in a funny position last night and its a pulled muscle/bump ache? I get something a bit like that if my pillows have shifted during the night.

I know what you mean re twinges leaving you in a bit of a panic, it is hard not to be paranoid about stuff, despite your better judgement. I'm 22 weeks and have been feeling a fair bit of movement and a bit of a pattern is emerging. Last night after I went for a run the baby wasn't doing his usual party in the bump after dinner. Now I know logically that I didn't take it that hard on the run and actually some nights he doesn't go mental, but the previous night he'd been very noticeably partying - so much so that dh felt him for the first time.

I know this is nothing most likely and I know that its too early to be monitoring movements - it does not stop me from being paranoid and hyper-vigilant!

Thanks lemon, I am feeling a bit less feeble now. I didn't sleep well (haven't done so for months), so there's a good chance it's something like that. I think it could also just be baby squirming about and poking my intestines etc from inside. Or round ligament pain, or general growing pains (bump seems to be stretching by the day). I also get mild spd when walking and I spent a few hours yesterday on my feet in the kitchen so it could be a bit sore from that.

If I wasn't pregnant I wouldn't feel like such a hypochondriac - even sneezing this morning had me clutching my belly!

I can feel junior poking & writhing in there as I type so there's probably not much too far wrong!

Just been googling my sharp stabbing pain and I think it's round ligament pain, so nowt to worry about but unpleasant nonetheless! Not a surprise either, given how much I have grown and stretched over the last couple of weeks!

Glad I found this - I had this today at work whenever I was walking up & down long corridors. My belly has got bigger in the last week so round ligament pain makes sense...

Oh good, river, I'm glad you have benefitted from me posting this, was thinking I was just being silly.

It still feels quite sore so if it doesn't ease off over the next few days I will get on to the midwife & see what she says.

People keep saying 'oh don't overdo it!' but really, if you've got to go to work, you've got to go. And once you're there you can't just sit on your arse. And if you do, it hurts to stay in the same position for ages anyway so you might as well just get on with it!!!

Hope your pain eases soon flowers

Yeah it totally made sense suddenly when you said round ligament pain. I was busy this afternoon & tend to walk at 100mph normally & that's when it was coming on. Like a sharp toothachey pain very low in my bump. I feel like I'm always moaning about something!
