I know this probably seems a bit of a vain post but i seem to have developed horrendous acne on my around my chin and some on my forehead! I usually use a strong acne cream to get rid (have suffered before with hormone related acne) but I have been informed it's not best to use this when pregnant! So if any of you have had the same problem what have you used instead to ease the spottiness? On top of my super bad bloating and morning sickness / all day nausea I really am not feeling great lol!

Same. I've also got a spotty décolletage, face is definitely worse just so attractive its just so itchy. Im forced to not wear any makeup at work (well all day really) as it just makes it all worse. ( i work in a theatre) and a change in my diet I've mainly been eating crap hasn't helped anything! Grrr cant wait for my hormones to go back to normal x

I know! I've been eating crap food too, mostly because it's all that seems to ease my sickness! So I think that it definitely has not helped my skin situation! I also feel bad about eating rubbish food, as I know really you should try to be as healthy as possible! Eeek!

I'm putting it down to hormones. I was hoping it would go after the first trimester but no such luck.

I've woken up with so many spots today, I feel like I'm hitting puberty all over again!

My spots were the reason I thought I was pregnant. I was getting so many and really sore ones. I Google this and it came up saying I had a hormone imbalance. Teamed up with the sore boobs and my upset stomach I knew I was pregnant. 7 weeks in and I'm still spotty. Currently have sudacrem all round my mouth and chin lol

I had awful acne covering my whole back while I was pregnant, It pretty much cleared up completely after having DS just over a month ago.

Strangely my skin has tanned this week and I never tan. I kept out of the sun as much as I could when I was camping but the midwife says hormones will mess with absolutely everything lol

I've had awful acne! Mostly on my back but some really big painful ones on my face. Clinique blemish control foundation really helped with coverage and took some of the angryness out of them. It's a bit on the pricey side but I think it helped. Nothing has worked on my back though!!

Mine looks awful too! I look like a teenager (doesn't help that i probably would without the spots too!) I have been quite sick so ate junk food. But I'm now consciously upping my fruit and veg (because I wasn't reaching 5 a day!). I've tried to not use make up too often, I take it off before I sleep (normally terrible at this!), use an exfoliating cream in the shower, and cleanser and toner a few times a week.

I know, it's awful isn't it. You have my sympathies.

I am using a brand called papulex, which is apparently safe to use in pregnancy, but am only using it on problem areas, and not everyday.

I remember thinking in the first trimester that as soon as you are pregnant, nature tries it's best to make you as UGLY as possible to dissuade other men from wanting to mate with you, lol.

Spots, vomit, greasy hair, gas, bloating, awful constipation.......SEXY.

My skin is terrible. Spots all over my face, neck, chest and back!
I've found 1 part Epsom salts to 2 parts water, then dabbed onto the spots really helps dry them out and clears the infection. Epsom salts are safe to use. It has caused eczema around my mouth but I have really sensitive skin. It does also leave a white powder residue on your skin so best to use at night.
