You poor thing, I had this and at the time (3 years ago) nobody I knew had heard of it.

Wear nothing but a cotton sheet at home.
Piriton in small doses.
Avoid scratching (easier said...)
Cool showers, no soap.
Oats in a sock for washing yourself.
Sleep as much as you can.

I heard from my consultant while begging for an early induction that it wouldn't pass until birth, mine actually had largely cleared up by the time DS was born. It probably lasted in the most painful stage for about a week. Wishing you a safe delivery.

thank you Smile
i have chronic eczema as it is so have tried the things i use to control that but its not working.

last night i (bad mum to be) took 2 paracetamol, an antihistimine ive been prescribed and 2 nytol. i wore loose cotton pjs and no sheets.
didn't work.

i ended up watching tv until i couldnt stay awake anymore and falling to sleep naturally.
i had my show on friday (im expecting twins so not worried) so half hoping ill go into labour soon so my skin will stop. (selfish and im onlysaying that as im in pain)
x

It's just awful, isn't it? I can't imagine how PEP/PUPPS would be when carrying twins.

I was there too. I literally couldn't wait to have DS, the pain was intolerable.

I've no other suggestions really - except to keep your mind preoccupied and sleep whenever you can, because chances are you won't sleep too well at night.

I've not suffered from this so don't know if it actually works.......but whilst browsing a rival "mums" website forum a few days ago I spotted a thread where a lady had recommended a cream and wash called me salcura. Try googling "salcura" and "polymorphic" and it should come up xx
