Pregnancy

Nursing while pregnant (does latching on pain eventually ease off?)

I am 12 weeks pregnant and over the course of the last week my one and only pregnancy symptom, which is teeth clenching pain when DS latches on, has completely disappeared. I was expecting it to get worse rather than better.

Last year I had a MC at around 6 weeks and afterwards I did realise that feeding had become painless in the days leading up to my MC so obviously feeling anxious now. I have my scan on Tuesday and trying not to stress too much.

I have bfed through two pregnancies and yes the toe curling pain when latching on did go away, it was at its peak in first trimester, then went away only to return nearer the end of pregnancy.

Good luck for your scan xx

Thank you mad, as much as it pained me, being my one and only symptom it was kind of reassuring.

Congrats on feeding throughout two pregnancies xx

I was the same in early preg, hardly any symptoms, I was always totally paranoid I would go for the scan and there be nothing there... I think I worried more with each pregnancy!

And feeding through pregnancy was never something I planned, just had boob monster toddlers! It was very handy in the early days of engorgement though! And I could feed back y and toddler both to sleep so we could nap together in yhe early days, do worth it just for that!
