Hello this is my first baby, im 37 weeks tomorrow & i've been getting period pains the majority of this morning, sometimes accompanied with back pains, they dont feel like contractions (as iv been addmitted at 33 weeks & 35 weeks for contractions and it feels nothing like it) it just feels like im on a really heavy period & i'm about to have a massive bleed (had no fluid loss or anything like that) just confused. Had period pains in the first & second trimester but nothing in 3rd until now! X

I've been having these for a good 2 or 3 weeks now most days and I'm 36+4. Not had a chance to ask MW about it as she was an idiot (long story) last time I saw her and I forgot all my questions I wanted to ask! I'm not overly worried as nothing has come of it and baby is still moving as normal etc!

I think it's the baby's head engaging. That's what I was told anyway. Good news if it's your first as once engaged the only way is out ha ha (whereas subsequent babies can bob about until labour)
