Pregnancy

stressed about stress

I have recently found out I am pregnant with what will be my second dc.

however, following a totally unrelated incident, I am basically an emotional mess. my stomach feels like a clenched fist. I want to cry/shout/vomit all at once or in close succession and the more I worry about my stress levels, the more stressed I become.

honestly, will this hurt my unborn child? I am having a physical reaction to these events (shaking/heart pounding) so how can it not be having a negative effect?

I doubt it will actually harm your baby. Women have been pregnant and had babies in all kinds of stressful conditions since before we were recognizably human. Women with anxiety disorders have babies.
