Someone please tell me I'm not the only one struggling so early on ??
Having a mini meltdown at work ( to myself) because I feel rubbish, my hearts beating too fast I feel weird.
I'm completely worn out, only have one full day off a week and driving just over an hour to work and the same if not longer to get home. I've got spots everywhere and dandruff!
Keep thinking I've I'm finding it hard now surely it's only going to get 10x worse Sad

It's not just you. And it WILL get better and easier, I promise (at least for a while). I'm 8 weeks (have a toddler already) and am exhausted and sick. Work for myself and so I'm taking naps wondering how on earth people manage with full time jobs/commute. But last pregnancy these symptoms lifted at 13 weeks, they usually do by 14 weeks - it's wonderful. Energy comes back. You have my sympathy (oh, and congrats, of course!) and I hope you feel better soon

Oh, the end you feel heavy and tired, of course - but beginning still far worse in my experience. But middle is all good.

It does get better. I cried and cried at your stage. Couldn't believe how tired I was. Although I haven't really felt the 2nd trimester bloom that everyone lies talks about, I'm now 26 weeks and feeling much better about everything. You will too :)

It does get better. I'm 13 weeks and it is starting ease. You could visit the GP and see if they could sign you off for a week or 2 if you are really struggling?

I'm 14 weeks and I'm still feeling tired, back is covered in spots, my facial skin is so blotchy. I keep crying (I cried for a year last night just couldn't stop) work is stressing me out 10 times worse than it use to and dealing with my OH who has depression due to family issues.

I was like you it's just going to get worse but believe me it will get better. Us ladies have been/are going through it all. We're here to help so if you still feel like it come and rant on here we won't judge, we'll probably go and join in with you.

Keep your chin up hun and congratulations xx

Hey. I'm 8 weeks with dc3. I feel just like you. It's awful. I can say- if my previous 2 pregnancies are anything to Go by it will get easier. Things let up for me between weeks 12-14 so fingers crossed for you the worst bit is over. And at least you won't be heavily pregnant in the summer (from experience that's pretty grim). I agree with PP get signed off sick for a couple of weeks if it's too much. I went sick this week- the tube strike and a 2 hour commute each way on top of a 10 hour day was more than I could hack
Feeling like this. I stayed in bed kept cool and it felt good!!

I hated the first trimester with both. Fast heart beat can also be symptom of anemia- how were your bloods?

Yes, worth getting your heart rate checked - see your GP about that. Though being conscious of your heartbeat can also be a (physically harmless, but distressing) sign of panic/anxiety

Thank you ladies it is good to hear that things should get better soon! ( its hard only moaning at my bf as I don't think he fully gets how bad it can make you feel!)
I have got a few days booked of at the end of July so have got that to keep me going.
Not sure on what my bloods were as the system wasn't working when I had my midwife app so she couldn't give me the results but my blood pressure was a bit low the last 2 times so will mention it again at my scan next weds.

Zippyswife- I am very grateful I'm not going to be big until it gets colder, feel for all heavily pregnant women at the min!
And I can see why you went sick, 2 hour commute sounds exhausting!!

It does get better. I had NO IDEA how awful the first trimester would make me feel. It got better for me at 15/16 weeks. I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and starting to struggle again but mainly because i can't sleep.

As horrible as it is, it is normal and will get better soon. Hang in there.

The first trimester is by far the absolute worst. You feel awful, but people can't see your bump and just assume its not that bad. I hate the phrase 'you're pregnant, not sick' as people seem to think its ok to talk down to you with it. The first trimester is for me worse than a week of norovirus.

It really does get better. I'm 15 weeks now, I'm still sick a bit, spotty and need loads of sleep. But somehow it feels so manageable right now. I feel normal, good even. I don't want to cry constantly either. You'll get here too I promise, how you feel now isn't forever.
