I'm due on Sunday and thought it'd be nice to see if anyone else is due soon?

How are you all feeling? This will be my second and we've been told it's a girl. If anyone's around and fancies a moan chat about this last stretch, step forward!!

Hi Bobian

I am 38+1 with my first and been told its a little girl. Literally playing the waiting game now & cant wait for her arrival seems to be going quite slow now though. Feeling quite well but tired & getting lots of little aches. How are you feeling?

Hi I'm due on wednesday and after a melt down yesterday I am ready for this baby now. I don't know what I'm having and I'm very nervous and strangely excited about the birth. How are you feeling? This is my first and you can tell!

I'm due on Friday, and I'm too expecting a little girl. This last week has been horrible, I can't make up my mind whether I'm exhausted and sleeping for 15 hours a day. Or wide awake spring cleaning at 1am. So ready for her to arrive!!

Hi everyone, good to know there are others out there who are ready to pop! So three girls on their way and one surprise-exciting.

I went into hospital on weds night as thought it was happening. Had started getting cramps and they were coming every 2-3 mins (also been warned it's likely to be a quick labour as things were quite fast last time!). Got my parents over to look after DS - they are an hour away - and we were back home within two hours Blush. I think I'm just on high alert with every twinge!

Since then, I've had a few other little signs but not much. Kind of glad I went into hospital as the reality hit me and I didn't feel mentally prepared. I've spent the last few days getting my head into gear and preparing (as much as you can) for the birth bit!

I haven't had many signs at all. Just period type pains every now and again and nausea and diarrhea. No show or anything. Midwife said she will do a sweep if I want one on wednesday which will be my due date but I'm unsure about whether I want one!!

excited I'm the same I woke up early this morning with an urge to clean all the windows. I did one in the front room. Sat down and gave up. I'm now baking cookies haha.

If I'm honest I feel like I'm in a bit of shock that im due in 2 days. God knows what I'll be like when it happens!

hi I am 39 + 5 days, due date on Wednesday! This is my second and we are having a boy :)
For the past two weeks I have been having painful Braxton hicks contractions and sometimes very regular, like every 2 minutes! Then I go to bed and I wake up still pregnant! So frustrating. Also having diarrhea on and off for the past week.
I have my midwife appointment tomorrow and she might be doing a sweep if I want one. I went into labour two hours after I had one with my first so I think I will have one, I just hope all these pains have been doing something! Not lost my plug yet though which is disappointing :(

Good luck to you all! Not long to go now!

coney I've also had diarrhea and nausea, which I didn't get last time. Your period cramps hopefully mean things are progressing at least! I think the "plug" has started to come away (sorry tmi) but no bloody show as yet. I'm paranoid as the mw has talked me through how to deliver at home on my own if the situation arises (due to first birth)?! So I'm now convinced I'll be sitting here one minute quite calmly, then pushing a baby out the next!! Obviously, I'll go two weeks over and have a 36 hour labour or something Grin

Baking cookies sounds great, and at least you got one window done!

Hi berry, sorry x post!
I was quite excited about losing the plug but after some ferocious googling it doesn't seem to necessarily mean much. With my first, I had a bloody show then first contraction an hour later so I think I was expecting the same!

What do you have already, boy or girl? Good luck with your sweep if you have it!

Anyone picked out names already?

Haha I know but I'm going to eat them all if someone doesn't stop me! Haha.

Wow, I take it you had a quick first birth then?! How far away are you from hospital?

berrypicking did your last sweep hurt? I know this is daft but I'm scared of it! Even though birth is iminent haha.

Yes names all picked out but don't have a middle name is baby is a girl! Have you got names?

berrypicking · 06/07/2015 13:52

We have a boy already who is 17 months! So will be close in age. We are thinking of the name Benjamin Arthur for this little one.

I lost my plug last time 2 days before sweep but yes I have heard that it doesn't necessarily mean labour is imminent or that it won't happen if you don't notice one. I just think it makes me feel it is closer even if it isn't!

berrypicking · 06/07/2015 13:54

Oh and no the sweep last time didn't hurt me at all. I think it helped that I was already 3cm dilated though so everything was soft and pretty ready anyway, she managed to stretch me to 4cm too! I think if you haven't dilated or effaced then it's more painful? I may be wrong about that though.

Hi all I'm also due on Sunday with a little girl :) I'm so ready for her to be here now. I have also been getting quite bad and regular Braxton hicks but like you said I go to bed thinking this could be it and then wake up a few hours later and nothing :( so disappointing! I just can't wait for her to be here! I also have been feeling very sick especially in the night and early mornings but then it goes! Send positive vibes to everyone lets hope it starts for one of us very soon!

40+5 here and nothing. Waiting, waiting, waiting. First baby :-)

Wow another girl! Maybe I'm having a boy then! Haha it your first laura?

I don't know if ive had braxton hicks!! I've had like cramp type feelings in my belly when I lie or sit awkwardly?! Is that it?

And berry will midwife check to see if I'm favourable for one first? I don't want her going in full steam ahead if I'm not at all dilated which I don't think I will be!

Hi laura, nice to have a due date buddy! All these little symptoms/signs are so frustrating aren't they?

wildfire really hope it won't be long for you now!

coney it took two hours to go from 3 to 10cms last time but the pushing stage went on for bloody ages! So it didn't feel that quick. Apparently, it should be a little easier this time. DS was just slightly in the wrong position.

beery that's a lovely name!! We've narrowed it down (I think) to three: Amelia, Katherine or Annabelle. But I have a long list of about twenty names I could poss go with! DH can only agree on those three though!

Coney yes it's my first so a little unsure as to what to expect. I hate knowing that it could happen any minute or in the next couple weeks haha! Guess I'm just impatient!

Yes so frustrating, my midwife has said since my 36 week appt that I've been in 'early labour' so I kind of thought it would happen soon as she was also 3/5 engaged at this stage but nothing has led to anything :(

How are you all filling your days? I'm currently bouncing on a birthing ball at the moment haha!

coneywonder · 06/07/2015 14:15

Is everyone else going mental with anticipation? I literally can't think of anything but when it's going to happen and what it's going to be like.

We like Elsie for a girl and Arthur for a boy :)

Report
laura825 · 06/07/2015 14:25

Yes I am definitely going mental! My first two weeks of maternity I made loads of plans and got out but this week I haven't and don't want to go too far 'just in case'. Feel like I'm going insane haha!!

coneywonder · 06/07/2015 14:29

Haha I'm with you!

I just had an extremely bad period type pain. Just one that lasted about 30 seconds. Hoping I get another one haha I don't think it works like that though :(

Report
laura825 · 06/07/2015 14:34

Fingers crossed for you! Hopefully they keep coming. I keep getting all kinds of twinges down there but I'm pretty sure it's just where her heads bouncing around!

Report
berrypicking · 06/07/2015 15:20

sounds like we are pretty much all going through the same type of things! It's the most frustrating thing though when you think something could be starting and then nothing.

I am not sure if they will do a sweep if the cervix is not favourable, I hope they don't. I am looking forward to seeing the midwife but also dreading them saying sorry your cervix is still closed!

Just thought i would pop in and say 'You can do it ladies'

I was 15 days overdue. That was a bloody nightmare haha considering i told everyone i was going to be early cause i just had 'a feeling.'

Serves me right. Unfortunately LO didn't want to come out so had to be induced but i currently have a 4 week old baby girl and the waiting seems like a lifetime ago.

Don't worry if you also feel like foaming at the mouth when the MIL or friend asks you if you have 'tried a hot curry or pineapple?!' I too was getting restless at this stage so i hated people telling me the obvious ha!

Enjoy the hot cups of tea while you can, as i can't remember the last time i have drank a whole cup without it going cold ;) Also, have a really nice bubble bath....oh what i would give right now for a bubble bath!!!

Good luck to you all and you will meet your little bundles soon :D

Aw thanks leanne your not the first person to mention the hot brew thing. Ha.
